Doctor Who merchandise at EPCOT?

I always felt England in Epcot could use an old fashioned blue police box somewhere in it. They have the old style phone booths... It wouldn't have to be "officially" a Doctor Who prop (but all us Whovians would know it's the TARDIS). :)

While having an ole' Police box in England would be cool...and VERY British... the problem would be the ownership of the design.

The BBC bought the copyright/design for the old Blue Metropolitan police box from the Police department a few years back.... in part because to the current generations the Blue Police Box is much more of a Doctor Who thing than a Police Box. (Assuming they even realize that Police Box's weren't all TARDIS' ;) )

Hmmmm..... Gotta admit though, suddenly I'm finding myself wondering how Mary Poppins at the M&G would react to being approached by a Dalek. :rotfl:

that stinks they don't sell it. I was seriously hoping for a least SOMETHING. I didn't start watching doctor who until I left England so now its such a hassle to find things. I was hoping with its growing popularity..... oh well...

OH HOW MY WORLDS WOULD COLLIDE! It would be great if they did but i'm guessing BBC doesn't have many ties with Disney. I could totally go for a Tardis scarf.

I'm sure your Katie is delightful, but in this case she is absolutely wrong. David Tennant is always the correct answer. :)
You are so very right!!!
The funny thing is that so many Who fans are also theater kids. Must be the whole active imagination thing!!

Hmmm, a can of blue spraypaint gone amuck in WS in England. It could happen. Not by me, but still........:woohoo:

Heh.... So when I see a wall in the back of the Pavilion with "BAD WOLF" spray painted on it, I'm guessing I'll have to assume that was you?

:lmao:

You can always pick up a fez in Morocco. :thumbsup2

I was thinking of doing that for my friend. She gets a kick out of all of eleven's various hats. Her favorite is a fez. So technically Epcot DOES have Doctor Who stuff... its just in the wrong country! :rotfl:

Or a Stetson in America (and Frontierland!) .....

I wear a Stetson now. Stetsons are cool.

You just have to be creative with your thinking! Theres no "official" merchandise... just unofficial scattered through the parks

There are many, many old-school fans who would consider that heresy. :rotfl2: Even Tennant himself says Tom Baker is "his" doctor.

But then I am an odd one, because "my" doctor is Eccleston, and nobody ever shares my love. Chacun à son goût, right?

my friend has an epic man crush on Eccleston's doctor. You Are Not Alone ;)

Thought his Doctor was Peter Davidson?? That was why he was geeking out so much in Time Crash. (and the line "You're The Doctor!? You're my Doctor!"

As a matter of fact, It was 5's tendency to bring out the glasses to look "smart" that prompted 10 to do the same thing.

(Yes... I am an old school and hardcore Whovian.)

:rotfl:

And Tennant is reportedly engaged to Georgia Moffett, who is the daughter of Peter Davison -- and she also played opposite Tennant as the Doctor's cloned daughter in the 2008 episode "The Doctor's Daughter." So "the Doctor's" daughter played the Doctor's "daughter" -- and may become the Doctor's wife!

Or at the very least....

The Doctor's Baby mama.

Seriously... Why does this whole situation seem very wibbley wobbley? :confused3

i was so confused when Wikipedia reported that Georgia Moffett and David Tennant had a child and were engaged. I knew they were dating but it seemed wicked sudden. Imagine having your favorite Doctor as your Father in Law

Eccleston was an amazing (dare I say "fanTAStic!") choice to re-start Doctor Who. Much as I loved Tennant's evolution as the Doctor, and as fond as I've become of Smith, I don't think I would have gotten re-hooked so fast with out #9 and Rose.

But MY Doctors are Pertwee and Baker. Yes, even with the guy-in-a-rubber-suit monsters.

I agree. You have to give RTD some credit. It was going to take something wild and manic to get Who revived after the mess the show started to become under JNT. Eccleston was FanTAStic as filling that role. Of course, something that manic would be nearly impossible to maintain, so it was absolutely Brilliant by bring in Tennet with his much subdued doctor, bringing it back in line with some of the more classic portrayals.

And now you have Smith... who reminds me a lot of Troughton. I think that's why he's grown on me so much. :goodvibes:goodvibes

As for my Faves? I'm going to have to go for the ole' Teeth and Curls himself, Tom Baker... probably followed by Troughton, then you start to see the new kids pop into the mix.

Dd looked at the fez's....just refused to buy one...said it wasn't a real fez!!

:scared1:, seems a wee bit incestuous.
