Doctor Strange Opening Weekend Gross

Solid for sure. As long as they continue to deliver great movies, people will continue to show up, money in hand.

I saw Dr Strange on Saturday night. Excellent movie. One of Marvel's best movie's to date.

Sign of a good movie for me is when I'm disappointed that it's over as I'm still wanting to keep enjoying it.

Saw the movie yesterday with my son. Loved it. Great movie. Make sure you stay til end of credits!!!!!

Just wanted to say I saw Doctor Strange last night and enjoyed it. I really was skeptical because with the previews I didn't feel like I was that interested and it didn't seem to tie in too much with the other Marvel movies that I love but it got really good reviews (i.e Rotten Tomatoes, iMDB, etc). Well even if it didn't tie in all over the place with the other Marvel movies it did have some connections and great special effects. However, I can see why kids may not be pouncing over the idea of a meet and greet.

It's not my favorite Marvel movie by far but I still enjoyed it.

I liked Dr. Strange very much. I do think he's probably not the right choice for a meet and greet - it's a little more teenager and adult oriented than child oriented I would say.

Yeah see that was my thoughts as well. It's not that kids can't enjoy the movie but it did seem as though the content was more aimed at the older crowd. But I get that Disney wanted Doctor Strange's presence in the parks especially because it's one of the few that can and well..he is the main character..it's just the interest may not totally be there for the younger ones.

I think a lot of smaller kids just won't understand/appreciate the deeper more metaphysical themes of the movies. Robot suits and Hulks and stuff are easier to relate to :) OTOH, kids really get into Star Wars and that has some metaphysical themes, but also a lot more silly/humorous elements than Dr Strange.

I don't really see it happening, but a Dr. Strange attraction could be AMAZING given the special effects style (and quality).

I haven't seen the movie and I don't know much about the character...but could this be the property that goes into Tower of Terror (if Tower of Terror were to ever be re-theme'd as a Marvel ride)?

They could do it with a fight scene they have that involves bending city buildings and streets, the fall up and down could match your movements as the city moves. I don't see it happening, however. I don't think Doctor Strange will move merchandise very well, and without merchandise sales I don't think Disney would bother with incorporating the IP into the parks (besides the small, strange show they're doing now that doesn't cost much at all). Guardians of the Galaxy moves a lot of Rockets and Groots, which is probably why it is getting a place in DL.

I've heard this is a good movie for 3D, however I have seen some 3D that aren't worth the extra money. I don't mind 3D, but as a glasses wearer I hate having to wear two pairs. Can you tell me if this movie is worth seeing in 3D

It -could- but it would be dumb, and kind of a waste of ToT. As much as I harp on their over-use, this would be a fantastic 3D screen-based attraction.

IMO 3D IMAX is a must do for this if at all possible. Definitely 3D. Even just for the effects that run during the credits.

We skipped the 3D so I can't tell you if it was worth it - I didn't feel like it needed the 3D.

We didn't see it in 3D but some friends of ours did. They are usually not 3D goers but it was what was playing when they had the time. They said it definitely was a great use of the 3D and recommended it so we're going to see it again in 3D.

I could see where 3D would be good for some parts (trying not to post spoilers though but if you've seen the trailer imagine certain scenes could be good with 3D) others it may not be needed. Personally I can't do 3D I get motion sickness..I don't seem to get it from rides however just the way 3D movies are done so unfortunately I can't give you a full opinion on it.
