Not sure where to post this... :)

we are at Disney now (csr) and my 7yo had fever and said his throat hurts. I am letting the family sleep in this morning but I was wondering if there was a doctor office for guests. I don't want to call around yet and wake everyone up.

There are clinics near WDW. You will have to go to the front desk to ask because, unfortunately, calling from your room will get you to a call center.

Lake Buena Vista Walk-In Medical Clinic
Turner Drugs, 12500 Apopka-Vineland Rd 407-828-8125

From the WALT DISNEY WORLD SWAN AND DOLPHIN turn left on Epcot Resorts Blvd. At the light, turn left on to Buena Vista Dr. Continue on Buena Vista Dr for about 3¼ miles until you get to Hotel Plaza Blvd, merge right. Follow Hotel Plaza Blvd to the third light and turn left on Apopka-Vineland Rd (SR 535). The Lake Buena Vista Walk-in Medical Clinic and Turner Drugs are on the left.

They have a van that will pick you up, take you to the clinic, and return to your resort.

For sure check with the front desk at your resort. I'm sure they will help you as they can. They are used to medical issues and people not being used to the surroundings / knowing where things are. If they cant help get you there, worst case if you dont have a car or dont want to figure out where to go is they can call you a cab. If that happens and you then need a cab to get back to the resort, you can call Mears Transportation direct at 407-422-2222 they are the 'official' taxi of WDW.

The Walgreen's on 192 has a minute-clinic. You can take a cab there. One trip, both me and my dd got sick (thanks to the guy next to me on the plane). I went to CentraCare and she went to Walgreens. Walgreens was a better experience!

I would recommend that you go to the front desk and ask them if Disney has any doctors that make "house calls" to the resort's rooms. If they do, make sure that you ask how much this service is and if insurance plans are accepted - I am not sure about this.

I work for a company that staffs temporary physicians. I have placed several doctors (mainly Family Practitioners) at Disneyworld. Their responsibilities do include making "house calls" to the resort rooms. They carry a doctor's bag with a variety of medication and can give necessary treatment and/or prescriptions on the spot as long as hospital facilities are not needed. I am not sure if there is a higher charge for this type of service...I would assume that there may be. We generally receive requests to place doctors there in fall and winter because that is when there are higher levels of contagious illnesses (i.e., flu season.) So, the Disney doctors may or may not be there yet.

I sure do hope your little one gets better soon. Lots of fluids.... sending some pixie dust. :wizard:
