No, DCL will do their best to dock, but if they cannot you will not go to another island. However, if CC is early on in your itinerary and you have a sea day, they may try to dock again on that sea day (barring there are no other boats at CC that day). Booked excursions will be refunded and they will hand out new navigators on board with added activities. It's been said that DCL pulls out all the stops if they miss CC in an effort to entertain everyone on board.
That being said, there are instances (and multiple threads on here where people have given instances of this happening) where DCL will do their best to accommodate you but not at the price of crew and guest safety. E.g. someone said that they were able to dock early at a port after missing the port before or an instance of not being able to dock at nassau, so the captain took them to CC. but these are not guaranteed protocols for when CC is missed, so don't expect it. Best advice: prepare for the worst, hope for the best. That's what I did. I already have a back up plan for activities on board if we can't make CC. The boat itself is a destination in and of itself so I know we will have fun if we can't make port!
