Do your pets "give" gifts?

Not unless you count the hairballs that she throws up on my floor!:rotfl:

Until the above mentioned cat gets a job or learns a craft, I don't see any gift-giving in her future. She does usually recieve a new toy.

She also recieves the gift of LAYING all over our new stuff. This seems to bring her so much happiness.

Our pets have always "gone shopping" and gotten us some pretty nice gifts. This year our kitty girls are getting a nice load of gifts. But I have seen several under the tree from them to me so all is good.

Absolutely. There are wrapped treat gifts from my dog under the tree to DBF's cats and DBF's sister's cat and dog! I also found one to "Sister" from Tara (that one is for me, from the dog).

Our dog and cat used to give gifts before we had DS. Always some type of silly gift. Now DS3 gives the silly gifts instead of the pets. However the little buggers have their own stockings and receive plenty on Christmas. In fact, my dog gets more excited for Christmas than we do! They are part of the family!!!!

We got our 2nd cat in late January so this is her first Christmas with us. She loves to play with toys while our other cat doesn't really, so I went a bit bonkers buying Riley cat toys this year. I hope she likes them!

Yes of course our Chihuahua gives gifts! She is not a pet but a family member. She also gives the most expensive gifts and watches carefully to see the recipient's expression upon opening the gift. She then "helps" clean up the paper by shredding it.

Usually our pets only receive gifts.

Though one of my dogs chewed up on of my son's gifts it was a dvd and only the case was damaged so I am thinking of putting his name on it to my son.

By all means, do it!

Our dog gives the other dogs in the family fleece toys that she "makes". She also gives my DH a gift every year. Last year it was a photo book all about her, this year its a ornament with her paw imprint on it. DH thinks its hysterical!! She has a stocking and a present under the tree.

They don't give, but they all receive. The cats will get treats, we used to give them toys but DD's mini doxie just eats them so we stopped that. The dogs will get a few treats and a new dog bed this year, they will get some new toys from us.

I've actually never thought of the pets GIVING gifts before! I like that idea! But for now, no, our pets don't give gifts, but they do GET gifts.

Yes. Elvis and Nemo have stockings that hang beside ours, with their names on them. They don't usually give gifts, but they do get them. Their stockings are full of toys right now, and a new kitty tunnel is wrapped and waiting under the tree for them.

They do, however, give birthday cards. Depending on how good of a mood Elvis is in, we have in the past painted their paws and had them "sign" their name. They also like to bite the card and that's become their signature.

My little dog gives if you count me writing her name on cards to immediate family members along with mine. I don't go out and get separate gifts for her to give anyone. She's actually received several presents from my co-workers this year, and my parents always buy their little furry grand baby a present. It's usually a little toy or a sweater she can wear when we go up North. My neighbors left the cutest Lady and the Tramp ornament with her name and the year on it along with some treats for her on my porch yesterday. I'm not sure if I should get their cat something now. I wasn't expecting anything for her, so now I am thinking of regifting a box of candy for them. All I have for the cat is a pouch of tuna!

Goodness no. I have enough to worry about with having each boy get each other gifts! Don't make me do the dogs too!

I always make one gift for each kid from the dog. My kids laugh. This year, Cooper gave my DS14 a Phillies shirt and my DS10 a bathrobe!

(I also always make the labels funny by altering our names a bit. Instead of everything saying "mom and dad", I'll write "mama and papa" , "the 'rents", "your parents", "madre and padre", etc. This year, one kid got something (Phillies related) from Ryan Howard, and my other one got the movie UP from Walt Disney!)

I like to try to keep it fun...the kids always get a kick out of it.

I just bought myself a new television. I will think of it as a Hanukah present from my cats. Which I paid for. :goodvibes

Rainbow, your cats are absolutely adorable!

My cat usually gets something for my mom's cat for Christmas. This year, she was so busy napping, she forgot! Oops...
