OMG, I love your parents, that's my kind of punishment! A few years ago my daughter wouldn't stop slamming her bedroom door so we took it away. People thought it was strange but they agreed it did fix the problem. Most parents wished they had thought to do that but also seemed reluctant to take their kid's door off the hinges.

I've also been known to swipe the power cords to my kids' computers and video game sets as punishment.

Oh, if my kids acted bratty at Walt Disney World, their punishment was to ride Tower of Terror. If they apologized before getting to the loading area we would let them take the regular elevator down to where the pictures are displayed. Sometimes they didn't think to apologize and had to go on the ride.

My son and I will both be sure to remember that door resolve! We may well need it when dd gets to be a teen. You crack me up qruthie! :rotfl:

Now the tower of terror ride would be a reward, so...hmm... :stir: last time Dinasaurs scared dd1, and Winnie the Pooh (yes, you read right) scared dd2, but that was 4 yrs ago by the time we get to WDW again. Dinasaurs may well scare dd2 this time, as she's 3 yrs younger than dd1. She's not quite the daredevil as the other two when it comes to rollercoasters at six flags, but given her height limit it doesn't matter, and Tower of Terror is nowhere near the 'stomach in your throat' feeling as the Giant Drop is there, so I think she'll be great on it.
Forcing ds to sit through the shows would be a punishment, especially now that he's old enough to go out on his own and will have a friend with him. ;)

I love that taking away the door though! :lmao:

Add me to the list of husbands not happy how much I'm on the computer (and up late at night, usually on DIS after VMK closes) and kids wanting my computer if a sibling is on the other one.

My parents don't live with me but if they knew how much time I spend on the quests... they would complain.

Nothing to worry about, exept my dad. He even hears VMK he groans and turns off the internet. I then just walk away for a few minutes and when he thinks I am outside doing something he turns it back on and I go back on!

My Dad Doesn't Get Mad AT Me princess: When He Even Hears The Word "VMK" He'll Go Have Fun Ashee! But When I'm At My Mom's House We Can't Play VMK Her Computer Is In A Different Language :guilty:

I thought I was the only parent who removed a door from the kids room because they slammed it... and yes- I take power cords and things too- we have also severed the cable outside going to their rooms-

Oh and to answer the question... my parents don't care since I have kids 18 and down- but my children have complained and vmk is known as crack to some of them lol...

My husband and I both play often- he's on right now... our two youngest play the game (well the youngest plays with us and has his own character but doesn't really play)

you need a third in-between option. my parents do think i spend a lot of time on the computer, but this summer hasn't been too nice out, and there's not much else to do, so they don't say too much.
