Do your kids look alike?

I've had people tell me you can definitely tell my DS and DD are siblings.

I don't see it, though. I've also been told they both look just like me. I don't see that, either. LOL

My older son is built like a block - just solid. Dark brown hair, very dark eyes, round face, a rosy complexion etc.

My younger son is solid, too, but more lanky. He has WHITE blonde hair, crystal blue eyes, a longer face, and is PASTY! I always call him my albino norwegian!

DH and I have dark hair. I have brown eyes, DH had blue.

It's a good thing my younger son looks like DH as a child b/c I would swear the hospital gave the wrong kid to me!

We don't have kids, but I know with DH's family his brother looks just like his dad, his sister looks just like his mom and he doesn't look like any of them. However, he does have a younger cousin who looks just like him, but no one else in the family looks like them. If you put DH and his brother and sis together without their parents, you would never be able to tell they are related.

Yes, to a point. I have two girls, and IMO one looks like me and the other one looks like my husband. They have identical coloring- blonde hair, skin that tans easily and hazel eyes. My older girl has long, curly hair and wears glasses, and my younger girl has long straight hair and no glasses. They are similar in height because they're only 18 months apart. People flip out over how identical they look, and I get asked all the time if they're twins. Even my best friend always says, "I can never keep them straight." It makes me LOL because I think they look very different in their features.

I only have one but I have an IDENTICAL sister who is 11 months older than me.

Then I have twin cousins who don't even look like acquaintances!!

Sounds like my twins-DD is a green eyed brunette and DS is blond and blue eyed. DD is very muscular, olive skin, DS is thin, think, thin and very pale skin.

Oh, yeah. And they both look just like me, too. (My biological family is kind of ridiculous that way; we seem to have freaky genes. Almost all of the kids in the extended family look like our side. DH jokingly calls us The Cloners. What makes it funny is that we're pale redheads/blondes with blue or green eyes; it's a Mendelian paradox.)

Not a BIT alike! DD#1 is adopted and although she surprisingly looks like a mix of DH and I, she looks nothing like her sisters.

DD#2 is the spitting image of me when I was a kid.

DD#3 resembles DH's mother and sister.

Did a mention #2 and #3 are twins? Don't even look like sisters, much less twins!

Nope. And no one has even told me they do.

My son takes after my side of the family. He is tall, lanky, dark blonde, fair skin, blue eyes.

My daughter is a few inches shorter than me (takes after my husband's side). She has very dark brown hair, darker toned skin that me or her brother, and very dark brown eyes. Besides the coloring and body type, there is NOTHING about their faces that even resembles each other. From their eye shape, to their nose shape, to the shape of their mouth, they don't look at all alike.

My 2 oldest look like brothers but don't look just alike. I have had more people than I can count ask me if my 2 youngest boys were twins (they are 2 years apart). Yes I think they have some similar features but they do not look just alike.

Actually my youngest looks like like his older brother (my 20 yr old) did at his age and they have different dads.

I have 2 kids with blue eyes, 2 kids with brown eyes. I have one blonde, 2 with really dark hair and one with reddish brown hair. All have different face shapes and features. I swear, they are related!

The only thing they have in common is that they are all really tall

My kids all look like me. My niece is my clone. If you look at pics of me at her age, you can hardly tell us apart. I have 3 older brothers..one brother looks nothing like the rest of us. We always said he must look like the milkman. However as he gets older he is looking more and more like my dad and grandpa.

We have friends with twins, one looks like mom, the other like dad. You wouldn't even know they were sisters.

My oldest and youngest look like me, they have different father's but if you put them together you know they are sister's. My middle DD looks like her Father's side of the family. She does look like me with certain mannerisms but mostly she's her Dad.

My 3 look like siblings- all blue-eyed blonds. The boys' baby pictures were identical up to about 4 months and now the baby looks more like my daughter did.

Let's see. My oldest brother looks a lot like my mom. They have the same eyes, face shape, complexion, and similar hair color.
My other older brother and my dad are basically identical. They have dark hair, dark eyes, and tan skin.

Then there's me, who is a complete mix of my two parents. I have my dad's face shape & eyes, by my mother's complexion, hair color, and body shape/height.

So really, my oldest brother and I look the most alike, and my other older brother looks like an adopted child, unless my dad is with us. lol

Yes my kids look alot alike and you would know they are siblings if you look at them. My dd has blond hair and my boys have dark brown but their features are very similiar.
My God dd and her sister look like complete opposites, one looks just like her mom and the other looks just like her dad. You would never think they were sisters if you didn't know them.
