When I was a kid I had all sorts of posters on my walls in my room. As I got older they changed and by junior high I had my walls covered like wallpaper with Chippendale dancers!! :goodvibes

My twin DDs age 5 have a princess poster. My DD9 has a Bratz poster (to go along with her 20+ Bratz dolls, I'm an evil parent I know). And my DS11 just has a world map.
Nothing like I had where you couldn't even see the walls!! :)

I was wondering if kids still do that?

My DS(9) as one wall as a NASCAR wall, posters, cars, NASCAR fabric borders, pictures, shadowboxes with autographed cards, etc. then the other three walls are covered in Star Wars posters.

DD 9 has Tinkerbell and puppy posters in her room.

DS 11 has a World Map poster and Avril Lavigne.

My daughter has a Disney princess poster on one of her closet doors, and on the other, she has a Winnie the Pooh and friends poster.

Ds10 has tons of NY Yankee posters and a few rock band posters covering his walls.

Yep, my walls were COVERED in posters. DD13 has several on hers too, but not like mine was. She gets bored with hers fast and changes them often. He dest has a bulletin board and she has lots of pics and stuff on it. I had a "personality" wall above my bed. It had pictures of my friends, those mirrors with sayings that I won at fairs, LOTS of pins with sayings, stuffed animals, and stuff that reflected my personality. Her desk and bulletin board is kind of like that.

My walls were covered with posters throughout my teen years, and they saw their share of puppies and kittens before that time.

DD7 has 3 framed posters of various princesses on her wall, along with an unframed Kim Possible poster.

DS2 has 3 framed posters from the Toy Story movies on his walls.

DS 15 has some Sports Illustrated posters of some of his favorite swimsuit models on his walls. :teeth:

DD7 has posters of Disney Princesses and some cast off Jesse McCartney posters from her older sister.

DD12 has almost wall to wall Jesse McCartney and some frog prints.

DD has movie posters of Little Mermaid, Snow White and Beauty and the Beast on her walls. DS has a Star Wars poster and lots of pennants for the Red Sox and Patriots. He also had a giant space poster, but it fell down. That wall is looking pretty spare right now.

DS7 has one astronaut, spiderman, and lots of hockey posters.

DD10 has Hilary Duff and puppy posters.

17 year old son's walls are covered in NASCAR and 14 year old sons in Manchester United(English soccer team)

I had all kinds of Teen Beat and other magazine (that I can no longer remember the name of) posters all over my wall when I was a teen.

My kids though, aged 14 & 15 have never showed the slightest interest in hanging posters. I really never gave it much thought, but now that you've brought it up, I find it kind of odd. Especially after reading that most kids still have the interest.

Edit: I do buy them each two or three really cool lighting things from Spencers every Christmas though. I'm talking lava lamps (from a few years ago), disco balls, neon lights and mirrors, Medusa lamps, lots and lots of blinking lights, like traffic lights and one that spins putting color all over their room, strobe lights and black lights. Thru the years, they've both got MANY of these in their rooms. I think they just prefer that style more? All their friends love them.

DD who is 7 has princesses, Tom Brady, Polly Pocket puppies, Rugrats and about 5 Johnny Depp posters (she drools over him :confused3 ) these cover the walls in her bedroom and her playroom.

My DS 9 has a poster of Link (Legend of Zelda) on his wall.

If my DD is anything like I was, she will be wall to wall posters of the hunk of the day in about 5 years. :teeth:

My DD (17) has autographed pictures for each of the members of the Fellowship from LOTR.

DD12 has Spirit Stallion of the Cimmaron on one wall.. and her closet doors are covered with horse pics cut from calendars :goodvibes

My DD12 just started putting posters up..so far she's got Harry Potter, Kingdom Hearts, & a few band posters.
