Do your guides call you while visiting WDW?

I am just wondering... does your DVC Guide call you or leave a message while you are visiting your DVC Home?

My guide has called every trip. Twice he called just to wish us a good trip. The other two times he wished us a good trip AND wanted to let us know of some "great add-on incentives."

So, I am wondering if this is normal practice for all DVC guides.

No. And with our guide, that's a blessing.
 
Our guide has always called and left a message for us when we are there. She has never mentioned any sales-type "stuff" YET, but the economy may change that, LOL! So far, though, she just says hi, wishes us a magical vacation, says to call her if there's anything she can do, etc.
 

Judy calls every time we're there. She usually just wishes us a good trip, then tells us about any special perks available at that time or any incentives or deals we might not want to miss. If we're not in the room, she leaves a quick message to welcome us home, and remind us that she's available if we need anything.
 
Yes she has, and no she hasn't. We've had both. But we've also received calls from her BEFORE leaving home for a trip too wishing us a nice vacation. No consistency to it, which is kinda nice.
 
Our guide has left a message in our room, but not every trip. She has never called our home before the trip.
 
Every time we are there. But usually she usually leaves a message as we don't spend that much time in the room.
 
Yes and no, also. On several occasions she has called our room, but, we were out, so she would leave a message.....basically wishing us a magical vacation and if we need anything to give her a call. However, that hasn't happened on every trip.
 
Another yes and no here. We just got back from a trip to HHI last week and did get a message this time.
 
our old guide..Diane Henry:cheer2: always did.....she left DVC and our new guide :sad1: ....not even sure who it is has never contacted us.....as we have been thinking about adding on....I should find out..
 
Have never spoken to my guide, but maybe that's because I live in the UK. She's certainly never called us at OKW, or if she did she didn't leave a message.

Exactly HOW MANY TIMES will this thread appear. This must be about the 10th "does your guide call you" thread LOL!

Now, mine doesn't and I don't want him too. I don't buy the theory on here. No your guide doesn't love you, he/she loves your CASH. They call to remind you that they are around if you have the urge to spend LOL!

Well, aren't we a little balloon popper today!! And here I thought my guide was trying to forge a nice relationship with me...thought we were maybe close to going out to dinner or something. Guess not. :lmao:
In any case, our guide has called a few times...left a message. Nothing more. Wish I could give her more business but not in this economy.
 
Our guide has called and left messages but not every trip. He cruises a lot so maybe that is why. I think it is a nice touch.........not expected at all.
 
Our guide has called us and left a message. She has even emailed me. She is Wonderful. She doesn't call to be a pest, she calls to welcome us home. And offers to help us if there is anything we need. And not meaning to buy more more more....
 
We've gotten a message on our room's voice mail just to say enjoy your vacation and he is there if we have any questions he can answer, and our guide has called our home to congratulate my DH on his football teams winning season (since our original DVC tour took 3 hours - because the boys were talking football for over 2 hours - Disney needed less than an hour to convince me to join DVC)

I realize our guide does not "love us", and that we don't have a "bond" other than wanting us to purchase more points (which we've already done :) ) but its nice to get the call. I think it shows that he values us as customers.
