i own a few pairs of crocs and they've always been really comfortable, but i've never worn them for a long period of time. well, i recently got a pair of the mary jane style and thought i'd break them in today while cleaning my house for our superbowl party tomorrow (go colts!). so i've had them on since about 1:00 p.m. and it's now 9:00 p.m. and my heels are hurting. this kinda scares me because i was planning on wearing these while at WDW. has this happened to anyone else? i've heard such good things about walking in crocs all day at WDW. just wondering if ANYONE else has experienced pain after being on their feet all day in their crocs???

are they those annoingly bright neon green sandals:lmao: . well i guess they are ver comfortable because everywhere you turn someone is wearing them.

I have a pair of Mary Jane Crocs and I don't find them as comfy as my other Crocs (I can't remember the style but there the ones everyone seems to have) I wore these to Disney last year and I love them, my feet never hurt in them and I wore them everyday.

actually, i don't have a green pair. i have a taupe pair, a black pair and my mary jane ones are chocolate. and you better watch out....some of these DISers may get offended if you make fun of their bright green shoes!!! :rotfl:

Mine are bright PINK and I love em'! I just bought them last week and have worn them everyday since to break them in for Dis (coming up soon!) and I love them. I have horrible feet and have a hard time with most shoes. I was so impressed that I bought all 3 kids a pair today!:cloud9:

I bought one pair of black professional crocs prior to our trip. DH said he would refuse to walk by me with any other color. I had worn them at home with socks (OK, so I'm a wimp and usually have cold feet) and they were great! Got to Disney and we unexpectedly had very warm weather - wore the crocs one day without socks and got a blister. I didn't wear them again the whole trip. Needless to say, DH thought that was kind of funny:laughing:

I will say that I rubbed a blister on my feet from my caymans and my niles, but all in all, they are still the most comfortable shoes you can wear. ( I would get a blister with ANY type of shoe.)

never had a problem with beach, cayman, nile, but got black mj pair and they hurt my feet, does not seem the same as other crocs, i used them to wait tables, and it was not pretty, no blisters but felt uncomfortable like not enough support. had to go back to my beach black ones for work. oh and all the servers wear them, beach style or cayman, we love them.

I wore mine last year for about 2 days, and got a blister...Never have worn them again..::scared:

I have Beach and Mary Janes. Wore both while at WDW last month- the MJs weren't as comfortable for an entire day. I think it is because they are more lightweight and streamlined. There isn't as much shoe material between your feet and the ground, so they don't stay as comfy for long periods of time. I love them for just everyday walking around, hanging out, etc, but for heavy duty WDW walking, I'll stick with my Beaches!

The MJ's are lots cuter, though!!:thumbsup2

i was reading the shoe descriptions at crocs.com. i think the reason the mary jane's aren't as comfortable is because they don't have the orthotic foot bed. i still love my MJ's....they're so cute! but i think i'm gonna go with comfort for our WDW trip!

by the way, how does everyone feel about the cayman? i think i like it better than the beach - it looks sleeker or something.

i would get the mickey beaches, but i don't like the red strap on the back. i live about 20 minutes from athens, georgia and NOT being a bulldogs fan, i'm not allowed to wear anything red and black!!! i wish they made the mickey ones in just plain black. oh, well.

i wish crocs would've been around when i was a server!!! i served either full time or part time from '94 to '02 - no crocs back then! just plain ole sneakers and aching feet.

NOT A UGA FAN??!!?? Sacrilige!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Go, Dawgs!!

Sorry- had to get that off my chest.

About the Disney Crocs- you could always just get the plain black Caymans (or Beaches) and put in Disney Jibbitz- there are tons of ALL NEW Disney character Jibbitz available now. All the "classic" characters, Princesses, Pooh characters, etc. A few Disney Jibbitz should "Disney-fy" any plain Crocs.

yeah...definitely not a fan. i never had anything against UGA until i moved to georgia and black and red was shoved in my face CONSTANTLY!!!!! it's really annoying when you're trying to be polite and tactful about not being a dawg fan and people get really offended by it. and i don't mean you by that comment - you're just having fun with it and that's fine - that's the way it's supposed to be. i mean people like the guy at the gym the other day who actually got so mad at me for saying something to the effect of "there's always next year" when referring to georgia's awful season this year that he had to leave the room.

DH and i are from nashville originally and he's always been a UT fan. he's very happy right now about the big game today because he worships peyton manning (who played for UT). i'm sitting here looking at the blue and white streamers and balloons all over my living room and dining room AND a poster of peyton above my fireplace. yeah, we're having a party tonight! i, however, was raised in a vandy household. yes, we're gluttons for punishment, but it taught me to stick by my team no matter what. and i *was* a happy vandy fan this year after the georgia game!

so i know that was really off topic. but as the thread-starter i feel i have the right to do so. please accept my apologies. :rolleyes1

I know where you're coming from- DH and I lived in Gainesville, FL (Gator ountry BIG TIME!!) for a couple of years, and I came to absolutely loathe blue and orange!! DH went to Vandy for grad school, so he was a happy camper after the UGA/Vandy game this year.

Anyway, how 'bout them Crocs??:rotfl: (Back on topic!) The Disney Jibbitz really are cute- I am going to order some for our next WDW trip.

i think what i'm going to end up doing is order a pair of black caymans and then get a couple of those jibbitz (just for the disney trip!). thanks for the suggestions. :thumbsup2

okay, I thought it was just me. I am a true Birkenstock girl and thought I would try the crocs because everyone seems to love them. So I got the maryjanes and do not find them very comfortable for long periods of time. Great for a few hours, but not a full day on your feet. I tried the Airwalks from Payless and found them to be much more comfortable than the Crocs maryjanes.:confused3 I would like to try the scutes but I'm afraid I won't be happy with those. Maybe just stick with the Birk's.

I own several different styles of crocs and all of them seem to bump the ends of my toes. Weird, I know. Anyway, my point is that the only style that I absolutley love are the "thongs" or "flip flops" as some call them. I have bought every color of those that I can get my hands on. I even teach in them. I threw out all of my bedroom slippers. As soon as my feet hit the floor, I put on my croc thongs every morning.

They even sell croc butter to put the shine back in your shoes after they have started to dull. I need to get some of that. I'm wearing these shoes out and have yet to get a blister.

Did anyone see the story about the woman who invented Jibbitz - by accident - on Oprah? If not, I will post it. Pretty cool. The show was called "MILLION DOLLAR MOMS".

I can't find the DIS Jibbitz up here so I am going to wait until we get down there to by them. On their website they have variety packs of them for about $20.00 - the Disney ones are adorable!

I had read so much about Crocs on this board that I bought a pair of black, tan and green beach, one red nile and one pair of bllue flip-flops. I love them but when we got to WDW I had to switch to my tevas because the strap of the beach style had rubbed a blister on the back of my heel and the edge of my back foot. I was disappointed but I do they are comfortable and thought I would give them one more try without the strap around my heel. I am not sorry that I bought them.
