Do you work your itinerary around campfire movie?

Only 26 days for us to go now. I am waiting to put the final touches to my itinerary, which I can only do when the campfire movie schedule is announced for August.

I have 4 possible evenings where we can go to the movie and we love to see the older, more traditional films - a lot of newer less well known films creeping in, I see.

Are there others like me or is this really a sad thing to base your vacation on?

Yes, we do this too. Guilty as charged. We actually have tried to work in a movie based solely on the fact it was one we hadn't seen LOL. I think it might be smarter to try and watch one you've already seen so you can miss parts i.e., if you leave early, run to bathroom, etc.

It is rare for us to go to the parks more than twice during a trip, that leaves plenty of evenings open for the campfire movie.

We have a youngin that doesn't sit still long, so we aren't into the movies yet. More power to ya though!

We go for the smores, rarely stay for more then 30 minutes of the movie.

The only time I've really done the campfire movie is when a bunch of friends got together to go see it. So doing the S'mores and the company of friends was much more important than the actual movie shown. Most of the group I'm with has just about every Disney movie on VHS or DVD anyway (including me), so seeing the movie is secondary.

We usually leave early to head for the beach for the EWP and fireworks anyway.

We have planned a night at the campfire (we will arrive at the Fort in 13 days!), but I didn't wait for the schedule. We are just going for the atmosphere and it won't really matter to my girls what we see. Having said that, when does the August schedule come out anyways?

August will come out the last day(s) of July.

We almost always stay for the movie, unless its High school musical which my boys think is the sign of the apocalypse.

My DW likes to see a good movie. So I try to hit the movie she will like.:thumbsup2

Yup- I really do love watching a Disney movie and eating smores--- and usually freezing since it's Nov-Dec and the bleachers are cold as ice... but that's part of vacationing at the Fort- it wouldn't be the same without it! :)
