Do you wish Disney would start making more DVC statements?

Put simply, I wish they’d start revealing what a post-COVID DVC looks like. I don’t care if it doesn’t happen right away. I just wish they’d start revealing their hand. What do you think?

I assume you are looking for AP info, especially the the continuation of Gold Pass eligibility..??

I doubt they will make a statement before parks start selling AP’s. Even if they know, it would be bad form to announce before parks division does.

I think that we already know what it looks like since it opened back in June 2020.

Perhaps you are asking the wrong question? Do you really want to know about perks?

Well, since they are still selling new APs, although on a limited basis, based on whether you had an active AP during the closure, then I think it is safe to assume APs will be returning when the park capacity limits are lifted. The Dining and Merch discounts never really went away. They will eventually be fully staffed to the point that we aren't on hold on the phone line forever, and things will get back to the Pre-COVID normal...but it will take some time...and that is assuming COVID doesn't rear it's ugly head with some new variant that requires an updated vaccination.

Maybe august 19th on the annual pass. Don’t take my word on it. Rumor going around since Disney wrote something about august 19. Again maybe we will get it at that date. Maybe maybe maybe

Yeah, I feel like I’m more ok waiting. I just wish I knew a lot of things:

Are APs returning, when is VGF going on sale and at what price, when is DLT going on sale and at what price, when is TOTW opening, are we getting TIW or a substitute, are member events like MLM coming back, etc?

There are just so many things I want to know. I guess I shouldn’t have just said DVC. There’s so much about the parks I want to know, too. When is capacity going up again, when are masks gone, when are fireworks back, when are full parades coming back?

I just feel like I check for news way too often. I know, that’s on me.

One thing is I don’t think they want to reveal anything until they know for sure it will happen. And, some things are not DVC, as you say.

If they put out that APs were going on sale again X day and then they have to change it, people would be upset.

For me, no news means status quo and I try not to worry about it. Now, I do hope we get updates sometime in the summer about when VGF sales will start, but my guess is that it’s still in the early planning stages.

IMO, the timing of the announcement was to soften the new of SSR going up and the new 150 minimum.

I hope they bring back Table in Wonderland before my next trip in Jan 2022. What do you think the odds are on that?

I have seen rumors Disney is discontinuing the program. Let’s up it proves not true!

I hope that rumor is wrong. I have gotten great savings due to Table in Wonderland over the years. The elimination of that program may cause me to rethink how I do Disney. Could be another checkmark in the sell DVC column. I guess I will have to wait and see.

I hope they do get rid of it and make discounts work everywhere but outdoor vending like at Disneyland without having to pay to get the discounts.

I assume you mean additional discounts for DVC members..??

But why would you hope they get rid of TIW??
Don’t forget about the non DVC folks. In addition, TIW gets discounts on alcohol, which DVC, AP, or Visa do not.

Disney will no longer provide a complimentary MagicBand for Annual Pass purchases or renewals made August 16 and after.

If we purchased APs in January 2019 but haven't activated them yet, will we get MagicBands on our trip in November?

OP, I totally understand wanting to know things. Since I already have APs and don't plan on going back for several years after their use, I'm not as interested in that news. But I DO want to know about masks indoors and fireworks!

I don't think so. I got the impression from the email that if you don't purchase/renew/activate an AP prior to the August 16, 2021 deadline, you won't get a complimentary MB.

So you are saying they have to be purchased AND activated in order to get them? How would that work anyway since they have to be activated in person? Would I not get MBs until we standing on Disney property? Not a big deal. We will just use some old ones. But I was hoping to maybe get one more new one.

I activated an AP voucher in April. I didn't get a brand new MB at that time. I got an email later about ordering my AP MB.
