If you're unsure with what "window shopping" is, you're essentially just browsing stores for potential purchases. That being said, have you ever found yourself doing it online? I can browse Amazon for hours and not buy anything lol.

Yes indeed. I have a real thing for dresses and I'm always fishing around for the perfect dress -- which I never find.

I spend way too much time window shopping online. I do like that I can research potential purchases much better though. Used to just have to hope it would work or be what you want, but now you can really get good info about most products before purchase. That works for me.

Yes, all the time. I just like to see what new products are out there.

One of my favorite hobbies is to window shop potential vacations I cannot afford. That over $2000 flight and $2,220/night hotel stay in Bora Bora look heavenly.

Smug beat me to it! I'm doing it as we speak....no DH and I don't need to rent a 6 bedroom oceanfront house for the 2 of us...

I never liked window shopping when peering thru real windows. I'm not an online shopper either.

DH is, tho. He has an Amazon account and the Prime truck driver probably knows him by name. :teeth:

I'm too busy DISing these days. ;)

I'm starting to think mine might know me pretty darn well also. I get a mix of drivers though so at least we're not one on one yet. :)

All the time, both DH & I. We can get lost for hours, looking & reviewing, placing in the cart & deleting from cart. I have found that sometimes I add to the cart to think about it and then not buy. If said item keeps coming back in my mind, I put it back in the cart and purchase.

I can get sucked into it via emails that say things like “everything 50% off”. But after a while I usually get tired of paging through the listings. If I am researching or looking for something specific that I am thinking of purchasing, I am not as quick to give up, and it can go on and on and on…..

My wife does that, but browsing the inventory of the local brick and mortar store online. She just bought a dress for a semi formal event from Nordstrom that she found online. Took a few minutes for the staff in the store to fine where it was on the rack, but their system showed they had it, somewhere. But she could try it on, know if it fit and be out of the store in less than an hour instead of waiting days to get it and only then see if it fit.

Absolutely. We're just about done a major reno on our home and it took countless hours on-line to get a vision for the design elements and then find the specific things we wanted. We're just down to needing wall art and maybe a few decor accents now so I'm still window-shopping regularly!

Yep, I do it all the time. I see someone wearing or using something on YouTube then I'll go look for it. Then I get sucked down into the black hole of finding other places with different things. Hubby keeps a cart going on Amazon as well. Just about every day he will ask me if I need anything. If I say I'm thinking about it, he puts it in the cart until I tell him yes or no. Thankfully, I'm pretty good about just looking or we would be broke. I can talk myself out of just about anything.

I've always enjoyed browsing stores IRL but Covid made me
the online browser that I am today :magnify:
