We have 2nd dining and was wondering if we have to change to our dining attire to the shows and directly to dining area

We usually request late seating. There is about an hour between the end of the shows and dinner. You can either dress before the shows and then go to some of the family entertainment in Studio Sea or to one of the lounges or go to the shows in casual clothes and go back to your room to change during the down time. That's one of the great things about late dinner.

Same answer here. We really, really loved the family cabaret shows in the clubs. So we usually got ready for dinner around 6, went to the first show, stopped by the cabaret show, then went to dinner. Sometimes the kids were doing something with the club (usually a movie) which got done just before the show. Then we would dash into the room to get them dressed after the show.

On our 4 day Wonder cruise, we did the Studio Sea activities between the show and dinner, but we liked the cabaret shows better.

Hi, I agree with the other posters. we had 2nd seating and 2 9 year olds. we would get dressed head down to the shows around 6ish (our shows were never full) and then stop by rockin bar d or studio sea for the 7:45 act. they plan it so the late diners can see the show and be done by dinner. this is my first post from experience. just got off the Magic and already booked two more cruises (2005,2006)! even with a shortened itinereary I felt the Magic and want the full week so we are going back for more!
darcy

We would go to the early show, usually in shorts and t's, then after the show, we would go back to our stateroom and get ready for dinner.

Ditto.......Verandah Mans answer..........

Dress around 5-5:30 have the room service bring a snack, have a drink in your room, go to 6:30 show, catch the 7:30 activity of your choice...go to 8:30 dinner.

This worked great for us!

If you do dress for dinner before going to the show, you may want to take a shawl if your dress is sleeveless. The theatre can be a bit chilly.

We would dress for the shows and have pictures taken or visit the characters that were out and about. If you dress early (especially on formal/semiformal nights on 7nighters) you can have pictures, a cocktail, shows, activities, people watch and dinner and feel as if it was a great evening adventure. We dressed early and never rushed the evening. Many on our cruise stayed dressed all evening and others were in their daytime wear most of the night.
