Do you wear make up to the parks?

I also am known to get blemishes depending on environment. The more basic I do (which essentially is to cover up any acne or dark spots and make my eyes pop) the better.
My face is like this nowadays. When I try to do some of the things people do my face hates me and it takes weeks to calm down again. Even a gentle exfoliator (which I only used 2X normally per week max) that used to work no longer does. And certain acids (stearic being one of them and it's in a lot of stuff) burns my face now so I have to be extra careful what to use. The less I mess with my face the better it looks. I got some reusable cloths (and they've held up well in the washing machine) that are quite gentle and take off my makeup with just warm water and they do work. I do have oily skin and yes like someone mentioned moisturizing is actually typically what you're advised to do like your skin is actually dry and tries to compensate by producing more oil. Right now I use CeraVe (though I may try out Vanicream) and I have found only doing it a handful of days a week at most is what my face can handle. While I was never a huge make up person to begin with at this point in my life it just can't handle too much so just foundation and sometimes concealer and powder is it and I don't always wear makeup.

On the chapstick part funny my husband almost always has some with him lol and I tend to forget to even think about it.

So I love to watch Molly's videos on All ears but I get sooo distracted at how her lipstick is always crooked, half eaten off, or just plain smeared across her face. She has on a full face of make up, under a mask at Disney and it looks so uncomfortable.
We LOVE Molly, but my partner always points out the roaming lipstick when it appears, too! We started watching her videos in January and haven't seen much pre-pandemic material, so I've been giving her the benefit of the doubt and blaming face-mask smudging. Guess we'll find out in the coming months if I've been overly generous in that.

So that made me wonder how many people care about make up in the parks?
I'm not a makeup wearer regardless of location. I asked my partner, and she says she would wear foundation with SPF in place of sunscreen because sunscreen makes her face break out but otherwise wouldn't bother.

Speaking from the observing POV, I'm very unlikely to notice if random strangers in parks are wearing makeup or not unless they had done an especially fancy and meant-to-be-noticed job.

My best friend NEVER wears any kind of make up. I can't even imagine that kind of freedom!
Haha, if you never got into the habit to begin with, it doesn't really feel like freedom, it just feels like a regular day!

Well I normally wear bb cream eye makeup etc but I just got back from Disney and this time by day 3 I only had my Paulas Choice spf 50 moisturizer on.

Most days, WDW or not, it’s waterproof mascara, lipstick, and DONE.

If I’m having external meetings at work, or like others have said, am going out at night to a signature restaurant at WDW, I might do a little more. My lipstick is really between a gloss and a full-on lipstick. I like things light.

I am someone who varies in how much makeup I am wearing. I love my magic erasers (reusable makeup cloths) they are the best! And yes they are so easy to wash! Have you discussed with your doctor if it is a possible mix of something else alongside the stearic acid? Also when I do wear a ton of makeup and have to exfoliate and really clean my face (getting older sucks in that sense-my skin is still great a good amount of the time but time is not my friend) I use Philosophy Face cleanser and a wooden face cleansing brush that is easy on the face when you scrub and to clean after you are done using it-dries pretty fast too!

My dad is the same way! He actually puts his in the fridge! And you'd think me the person with horrible dry lip issues would remember but no I always end up having to buy some!

I could def. go in for another check up on that, not a bad suggestion at all :)

My husband loses chapstick to the washing and drying...you'd think for how many times he knows he puts them in his pocket he would remember but nope  luckily they aren't too expensive.

Nope. I used to, but when we went in August 2019, it was so hot and uncomfortable that I skipped the make-up after the first day. Such a freeing feeling! I realized that none of our pictures were up close enough to tell when I was wearing makeup or not. Plus, I'm very fair and need to wear good sunscreen. That+makeup is suffocating in the heat! I have oily skin so it always looked a mess after a couple of hours anyway. I would like to wear mascara because my lashes are blond and invisible but that never works out either. Then when we started staying home last year and wearing masks, I stopped altogether. I've maybe worn it 5x in the past year. Like I said, so freeing!

Isn't it a real mess to get out of the clothes if it melts in the dryer?

It can be but luckily it's only happened a few times to him, majority of the time the cap stays on and only way I know something is up is the clanging noise from it hitting the drum. It generally stays in the container with the cap on but still not something he's comfortable with reusing after it's been through the wash with detergent and dryer with dryer sheets. Ink from a pen on the other hand that has ruined some clothes badly but it was mostly just lounge pants and lounge t-shirts. At least kleenex isn't harmful because that's also something that often gets washed and dried . If only he would check his pants pockets..

**one more reason added to the list of reasons I do my laundry separate from him :rolleyes1

I almost think she does it to annoy me. LOL!!! Trust me, it's always an issue. She does articles all the time about what kind of make up she uses or "what's in her bag" etc... and I'm always thinking, "write down the lipstick so you can avoid it!" Every time I see her I'm thinking about the movie, "Whatever Happened to Baby Jane". lol I'm glad I'm not the only one who sees it! She wore a nude lip one day and not only did she look younger, you couldn't see that she had smeared it on while riding Space Mountain! :rotfl2:

My DH and DD use a little sling on their key ring for their chapstick. Saves the chapstick and their laundry.

I hardly wear makeup at home, but I do every day at Disney because of all the pictures we take. Light foundation with SPF, setting powder, concealer, a bit of blush, a little eye shadow (sometimes), mascara, eyebrows, and lipgloss, and then a setting spray to set it all. It’s work to look natural now that I’m over 40. It actually only takes me about 15 minutes.

I love doing fun eye makeup, but it just does not stay put all day at the parks. On park days it's just tinted suncreen (have to do this as I am the look like the dead kind of pale), waterproof mascara, and some tinted burts bees lip balm. If we hit the resort and go back out at night I may add some eyeshadow and liner to fancy up for it.

She has on a full face of make up, under a mask at Disney and it looks so uncomfortable. She's one of those people that is naturally beautiful and if I looked like that I would never darken the cosmetic isle again. So that made me wonder how many people care about make up in the parks? These days, I do a sunscreen with some added pigment drops to blend away my blotchy skin and a little mascara so you can tell I'm a girl lol. During covid with the masks....no make up whatsoever. I was already annoyed enough, no need to add to my drama lol. My best friend NEVER wears any kind of make up. I can't even imagine that kind of freedom!

Yes, I start out with makeup, but after 5 minutes it melts off, LOL.
But it makes me feel better about myself for that 5 minutes. :rotfl2:

So I am not a huge makeup person, but I do wear makeup not everyday but on days I go to work in person or have video calls, I def wear it. Maybe takes me 10 min on normal mornings and I do about the same at WDW. Pretty sure everything on Molly's face is waterproof and not easily removed. I've never worn a ton of makeup and now in my early 40's, heavy makeup is the kiss of death for fine lines and wrinkles so I'm glad I don't rely on instagram for my makeup inspo or I'd look like a clown. There are some ladies over 40 that can rock a lot of makeup, but sadly I think for most it just makes them look older, and I'm included in that population.

I just don't know how to apply heavy makeup well so I don't do it. I've had my makeup done professionally a number of times and it looks great, I cannot replicate that.

I will wear less makeup at WDW if it's a super hot time of year since I don't do too much water proof since it's not great for my skin and if I wear it all, I will look like a drowned raccoon by noon. If it's cooler, I do my version of full face which is pore primer, concealer, blush, bronzer, highlighter, shadow, liner, mascara (top lashes only) and lip gloss. I wore makeup at WDW even when masks were required, figure I have to take it off to eat so someone has to see my ugly mug at some point.

ETA- no matter what time of year it is at WDW, I also always do my hair. I live in the south so my hair is already conditioned for the frizz fest.
