Do you wear earplugs on the plane?

So last week I flew down to Cali for the D23 Expo. Normally I hate flying, as the engine noise is almost deafening to me and leaves with a tremendous headache for a full day after the flight. So on a whim, i bought some of those bright orange foam earplugs and used them during my flight. I must say they are a lifesaver! The noise was almost gone completely. Made the flight sheer bliss, and even enjoyable! Anyone else use earplugs on the plane? Or anyone have experience with those funky Bose noide-reducing headphones?

The Bose headphones are worth every penny. I wouldn't travel without mine. I used to have headaches and not be able to hear until I got my Bose headphones. They are awesome!!!

i wear 'earplanes' earplugs i got in walgreens last year for aroun $5 brilliant! no popping ears, but for the first 10 mins i couldnt hear anyone speak lol!

I wear earplanes every flight because of my terrible ear pain and have never had a problem hearing with them in (I have alo never had the excruciating ear pain that I used to suffer with when flying). In fact, I put them in as soon as I get seated, and then put my JetBlue headphones on to watch TV.:thumbsup2

I wouldn't travel without noise cancelling headphones. It makes a huge difference and I can't stand the feeling of earplugs. My DH uses earplugs, as well as the headphones. -- Suzanne

I believe my noise-cancelling headphones are $35 Sonys. They drastically reduce airplane noise and have the benefit of being able to listen to music or podcasts as well. mUch less expensive than Bose.

I didn't wear any earplugs last year when I flew to Atlanta. I played my Ipod when I was allowed to. Didn't try to read but spent the time gazing out the window and going, "OOOOOHHH". ;)

I have to remember to put noise cancelling headset on my xmas list. The only time I think about them is when I'm at the airport, and I really dont want to pay the airport price for a set there :).

I just listen to my Ipod so I can drown out the airplane noise and the passenger noise. :lmao: It works! I either listen to music or watch a movie. I find the movie to be better though because by the time the movie is done I am landing. Only a 2 hour flight. :thumbsup2
