Do you visit the cemetery?

I run thru a cemetery every morning.

I just saw a sign at a large cemetery a few days ago that said "no running." I thought it was funny, because i'm sure the dead people don't care...

I'm a no, don't believe in cemeteries, they are a waste of space to me. So i'd like to be cremated and just dump the ashes somewhere back on the earth or ocean.

DH stops to visit his father's grave when we're in the area. It's 4 hours away, so usually we go if driving to FL. So I guess, technically i'm there, but only for DH. He also wants to be buried in the "family plot." I will not be visiting.

No. It's not meaningful at all to me.

I would prefer that I be cremated and my ashes scattered over the ocean. However, I've also told my family to do what brings them the most comfort as my feelings on the matter are irrelevant after I'm dead.

I do visit cemeteries, whether or not I have family buried there. Most of the time, I'm checking on family graves to make sure the graves and the stones are in good condition. Other times, I'm trying to find a grave for a friend and take a photo of the stone. I do family history research, so a cemetery visit can bring me lots of information on a family and community.

I do leave flowers as a tribute. It is a tradition in my family. Sometimes if I see a grave with no flowers and I have extra, I'll place them on the grave with no flowers. For me, the flowers are for the living, not for the dead.
