Do you use the new theft-proof KYSS tote bag?

I have one and love it. it is worth every penny we paid. take it on every vacation. its my carry on for flights.
you will not regret it.

I posted about it on the other thread and have really enjoyed it. It's very good quality with a nice canvas material. We've had it for about four years, and it has held up very well. We have five in our family, and I bought the large and found it very spacious. We love being able to bring our phones and wallets and not need to rent a locker at the water parks. We just chain it to the chair and hop on a slide.

I love mine. I have the large and it is still in great condition after being well used over and over on cruises, beach, park outings, and all over Europe.

I like the large, but only because I use it for so many different outings. Great for beach with snacks and towels for 3. I also like to carry my DSLR with an extra lens, a change of clothes for DS, and all the other odds and ends. I will admit that for just going on cruise or CC the large isn't necessary as they provide towels and all the snacks you need, but for an excursion off ship where you take towels it is great.

These look great thanks for the link. Just stinks that the larges are all temporarily out of stock was going to order myself an early birthday present. Oh well I got time to wait.

maybe you can order a large and when it's in stock they will send it to you? Or do they make you wait until it's actually in stock?

I dunno I just happened to pull it up and see its out of stock. Im sure I could order it and they would just charge me/ ship it when its in stock. However patience isn't my strong suit so I would probably just wait until its in stock or in an off season to buy it so I don't have to wait so long to get it lol.

The large is huge as PP stated, I can get you the dimensions later today, if you would like. But for me it works, due to extra clothes etc.. DS can't stand to be wet or have a spot on clothes, little quirk there but, I would rather carry a change then argue with him on vacation. I use it as a personal item while flying and I stuff my purse in it as well.

heres a suggestion that may be helpful. when I was going to order mine I sent an email to them explaining that I was looking into purchasing one. at the time it was the mediums that were out of stock so I asked when they may be available. in the same email I mentioned that I say a spot for a discount code, where could I get the code. they were very nice and sent me my information along with a code to take $5 off of the purchase.
maybe send off a quick email and ask the same things, you may get a code which is a bonus! :)

I have the medium size bag and its perfect for 2 people. Plenty of room for towels etc. The locking mechanism gives me peace of mind when on castaway cay and leaving the bag unattended. We just lock it to a chair and off we go.

I prefer pacsafe by far. Has the same/more security with the added benefit of not being *obviously* chained. A thief sees something chained (which is obvious because it reflects light) and knows there is something worthwhile in there. Pacsafe has wire in the strap that can be unclipped and wrapped around something. You can add a lock if you want.

I feel like it's the walk vs run tactic. Act casual, that goes for your bag too.

what bag do you have? when I was looking to purchase something I checked out pacsafe and they had cable to attach to a secure post. the ones I was looking at did not have the lock attached to the product which is one of the reasons I went with kyss. I liked the fact the chain and lock all stored so neatly and you didn't have to dig to find the lock.

the way I looked at it is similar to they way you looked at it but my thought process was different. to me, a thief sees something chained and he walks away because it would take time and effort to brake the chain where as he could walk on a few feet and find a camera/wallet/purse just sitting on a chair. why would he waste time and possibly being seen when he could just pick something else up with no effort. I would pick the bag that doesn't show a chain because, to me, it looks easier.

if a thief wants your stuff badly enough he is going to get it, chain, no chain, visable or not. any bag that locks is just a deterent.

True!! But I think a bag that is *obviously* locked up says HEY GOOD STUFF IN HERE. I think it is safer have the same process, but without shouting that you are locking things up. I guess I think .... if someone comes to grab my pac safe, they are likely to be surprised and abandon mission when they realize it's attached to something. If someone decides to try to get into the KYSS bag, they would be ready to break the lock/chain they can clearly see ---- and it might be worth the effort since it was locked up in the first place.

All these views comes from a position of paranoia. I can be paranoid, but I don't want to advertise it. I live in Orlando and laugh my butt off at the tourists who wear their backpacks backwards (a pickpocketing defense, I see it all the time at the outlet malls -- might as well paint a target on yourself!).

Mine is similar to this one: http://www.pacsafe.com/citysafe-cs200-anti-theft-handbag.html but purchased in 2009 so an older version of it. I'm a big fan --- all the protection without shouting that I have valuables I'm afraid of losing.

We LOVED our KYSS bag for our cruise and now I use it all the time!

On the other hand, I purchased the pac safe for living/traveling around India where my skin color alone made me a mark, and I knew I would be in places where having something pick-pocket resistant would be important.

I pack the pac safe bag for cruising, but we tend to take simple beach bags to the beaches. Valuables stay on our person. We have a waterproof camera, waterproof phone cases (though, we don't always have those on us, I think we tend to leave them on board, otherwise that is the biggest gamble we take if we leave it well-hidden with our things), and a pouch that clips into Hubby's swim shorts pockets for money/id/etc. We also just bought some small waterproof boxes on lanyards we might use this time around.

I agree with this. It's just like having those signs on your lawn that show that you have an alarm system or dog, or cameras etc... on your house. They are deterrants. The criminal will just move on to an easier house.
