Do you use real or electric candles for your Advent wreath?

What do you use?Do you use real or electric candles for your Advent wreath?![]()
Ditto on the "no advent wreath".Do you use real or electric candles for your Advent wreath?![]()
Real candles.
I made an Advent wreath about 60 years ago of plaster of paris with small pine cones and seed pods with candles. My mom could never bring herself to light them lest it destroy my wreath. 10 years ago after my mom passed away, my wife found it and it crumbled in her hands without the candles ever being lit.
Not sure candles are even "in" anymore. My oldest Granddaughter had her first advent wreath last Christmas and it chocolates on it. And someone here on the DIS was looking for the best place to buy an advent wreath with mini bottles of wine.
Possible that this is in the wrong thread? I don’t see any facts (real or imagined).Assuming facts not in evidence.
He assumed people had Advent wreaths. And that people had candles on them (do they require candles? I really don't know.)Possible that this is in the wrong thread? I don’t see any facts (real or imagined).
Some use blue, in my experience more use purple.I haven't bothered at home for just me the last few years, but I found it interesting that the Episcopalians use blue instead of purple for advent (still have the rose colored candle for week 3)
Interesting. Having grown up Catholic, only being Episcopal for 5 years, I have seen blue in the few churches I have been to, but my experience is limited. I like it - blue for MarySome use blue, in my experience more use purple.
