While it seems silly, as they are supposed to take the guess work out of lacing, it takes time to get them laced just so. Seemed to take me a long time to get used to tehm and get them how I wanted (over a month). Now, I love them. Yes, I do have to adjust periodically, and I find I lace different on teh TM than on teh road. Now that I am always on teh road again, I have not touched them to change anything in about 2 months.
Not that this counts fro much, but they're really great when I travel fro a race adn wear my running shoes on teh plane. Easy on and off for security!
I decided to try them out on a non-running pair first. Do take a while to get adjusted and although I love them for thru security, staying with regular laces for running shoes.
I'm one of those people who wind up re-lacing 2-3x before an event. dunno just me
I use the New Balance ones if thats what you are talking about. I like them but have always double tied my others and never had a problem. When I lost my chip at the 07 Disney marathon, it was because I trusted the little red chip tie. Won't do that again.
Lace locks are stretchy shoelaces. So, you lace them up onces, secure adn rarely have to adjust. It's fro those of us who have a hard time finding just the right shoe lace tightness.
