Do you use Body Glide?

the hub just got it for our upcoming WDW trip!!!!

But like a prev poster wrote... when do you put it on??? in the morning? after your shower??? does the area have to be completely dry before putting it on??? and do you need to re-apply during the day??? oh and like the one poster right before me wrote... does it feel sticky or wet all day?

if you use it on your feet, does it make your foot slide all around in your sock???

Sorry for all the questions!!! But I haven't seen a post on this and didn't have anyone to ask!!! Thank you in advance!!!!!

You put it on your feet? Doesn't it make your shoes slide off?:confused3

Until you've felt Body glide (or the monistat one) you just don't "get it" ... yes it's a gel, but when you put it on you barely feel it's on there. It's literally dry to the touch after about 1 second. It's miraculous!

I put it on after a shower, before getting dressed. Yes, dry the area you're going to use it on. I use it as a preventative. It does NOT heal chafing once it happens. Lanacaine makes a chafing gel just like the monistat and body glide, that has some kind of numbing stuff (very subtle, not dentist quality!) that helps with the pain of the chafing if it's already happened and then prevents further. It works as well...

It does. I used it on my feet and on my niece's arms where her princess dress was rubbing. It worked great. I always rubbed it on my feet then put socks on. So, no slipping.

BTW, I didn't use the same one I used on my feet on my nieces arms. I had two, one of which I left in my OL.

Very cool!

I have used Body Glide and also something that was just like it that I get at the runner store in my area.
I use it a preventive and it works great!I also used it on my daughter the days she wore skirts(put it on her inner thighs) and she never once complained!!

I also use it in the summer on the part around my body where my bra is going to be.

I get using a product like this for sporting events like swimming and running but why would you need it for walking around WDW? :confused3

In the winter I could walk around WDW all day with no need for Bodyglide but when it's 95-100 degrees every day and it feels like 120 you sweat, you sweat a lot and you will chafe. So I use it during the summer if I'll be walking around a lot as well as going to a waterpark or the beach which is a must.

OT, but which walk did you do? I just finished Boston about two weeks ago. Awesome experience - we are signing up for next year!

I was on that walk too! It was my 2nd year and though it is quite the experience, I think I'm done.

That being said, I used Body Glide and really good New Balance socks and only got a blister during the last 3 of 60 miles.

To you guys who have gotten great results against blisters: do you get the original stuff or other kinds of it? Like, do you usually just use the original, or the liquified powder or another variation?

MONISTAT CHAFING RELIEF POWDER GEL.

Works like a charm. We won't do Disney without it (or Boudreaux's Butt Paste, or another scent-free diaper rash cream). I also have ANTI_)MOKEY BUTT POWDER which is great for keep areas dry.

I also recommend the Monistate one 15oz.
The price is reasonable and it works--get it at Target.

Lanacane has just come out with an Anti-Chafing Gel.
I haven't tried this yet. Got a coupon for $1.00 off.

Because I'm the fastpass runner :cool1:

Actually I've only had a problem this year and I think it's because I've started running (new c25k graduate here!) and because I'm wearing more skirts due to all the heat.

Body Glide is also available on Ebay and at www.drugstore.com to order online.

It not only stops chaffing on thighs or anywhere you use it, but it keeps shorts from bunching up and riding up so they are very unattactive looking

I put it on right after I dry off from my shower and whenever i wear shorts.

I use the original Body Glide. It looks and feels just like stick deoderant. I have sensitive skin and as a result my feet blister extremely easily. I always blister with new shoes and no matter how broken in and good my shoes are, I always blister after a day of walking at WDW. I have used Body Glide on my last 3 WDW trips and 1 DL trip, and have not had one blister. That is unheard of for me. I put it all over my feet right before I put my shoes (or socks if I am wearing them) on. I have never felt like my shoes or socks were sliding around. I also found out that it is great for new shoes too. Now when I get a pair of new shoes I use the body glide with them the first few times I use them. It keeps most of the blisters away there too!

Bodyglide is fantastic. I put it on right before getting dressed and it works all day for me.
