Do you use a realtime online backup service?

Hello,

I am a subscriber to carbonite. As soon as a file is created on my c drive it starts being sent to my online backup. But my problem with the carbonite service is that it only holds the data for 30 days. It is more of a disaster recovery, not long term storage.

I am looking for a service that will do realtime backups of all files not just photo and video. And lifetime storage.

I looked into carbonite and wasn't at all impressed. It wouldn't back up mapped network drives, and everytime you deleted a file locally, the backup would be deleted as well.

I found IDrive and have been using that instead. It does versioning too. Check it out.

I have used carbonite for a while. They keep your data forever as long as you have an account. They will only keep your DELETED files for 30 days. Any file or directory you want to backup, just right click on it and tell it to include that folder or directory. I have a lot of stuff in addition to photos that I backup. In fact, aside from system-type files, I backup everything except my music, which is on my iPod and a portable hard drive. Currently I have 28 GB backed up to carbonite.

ya that is my problem. I would like the deleted files to remain backed up.
