I just traveled upstate this weekend and noticed alot of clothes hanging outside on clotheslines. Do you do this???? I don't, I just don't have time or maybe I would. Whenever I wash my comforter and blankets, I will hang them outside over the deck. I love the smell of clothes that have been outside

I thought I was being original
I ran across the back yard screaming (I'm terrified of bees and wasps) and scrambling out of my skirt. by the time I got in the house my mom had come running to see what was wrong. there I was standing in the service porch in my undies
(the skirt I had been wearing was laying in the middle of the yard)
after that I was allowed to use the dryer for my stuff, but my mom still used the clothes line for another 6 years before she started using the dryer. She still used the clothes line for towels and linens until she passed away in 1999
I remember my mother also hung hers out to in Wisconsin and when it got to cold she line dried them in the basement, probably because at the time we couldn't afford a dryer, but even though I have a dryer I much perfer to hang my laundry out.
