Do you use a Bluetooth headset for your phone?

Yes, when I am driving. I can hear better with the bluetooth so I use it more often then not.

When I'm driving, if I remember to charge it. Otherwise, I use the phone on speaker when I'm driving.

99.999999% of the time and absolutely love it. I'm a multi-tasker and am usually doing something else (driving, cooking, dishes, laundry) while I'm on the phone.

It's funny, I thought that most people use one, until I spoke with a woman the other day who asked me if that "thing" i was using was a Bluetooth. :)

No, I don't. Because I rarely talk on my cell phone. I just am not a phone person, so really only have it for emergencies on the road.

DH, on the other hand, uses his a lot for work and he drives a lot when he's working so I wish he would use one, but he doesn't.

Actually I wish they would make it against the law to talk/text on your cell phone when you're driving. If you need to make/receive a call, pull over and stop the car.

Yes, I have one in the car on a car charger and one in the house which I store on another charger. These days if I am going to be on the phone for any length of time I use the cell instead of the land line. I use this style, it is amazingly comfortable:

Yes, almost always when I drive and when I need both hands to multitask. I have become one of those idiots who walk through a store shopping and (apparently) talking to themselves! :rotfl:

No. I have one and I hate it. I also hate earbuds. I don't like sounds "in" my ear. I very rarely use my phone while driving and I live ust blocks from the border of Chicago, where handheld phone use while driving is illegal anyway. Most calls can wait.

I also think it is bizarre to see people walking down the street or at the grocery store who look like they talking to themselves.

Mine is built into my car, so I use it all the time. I'm sure I look like a crazy person, talking to myself. :lmao:

No, I don't talk on the phone enough to really get much use out of it and I hate having it just sit in my ear. Everybody texts me, which drives me nuts when I'm driving because when I don't answer right away, they keep texting back going "hello" or "well?"

I never pull over to read or respond to texts. If I did that, I wouldn't make it to my destination. :lmao: I just wait til I get there, and by then my family is so annoyed with my non response.

I am on the phone a lot, average 3,000+ minutes a month, much of in the car. I always use a wired earbud, (put my seatbelt on, bud in the ear, very routine) though both my phone and BB are BT capable. I have yet to hear a good quality BT on the receiving end. The listening end, the person using the BT, has good sound in their ear, but the other participant to the conversation has poor quality of conversation. And I have talked to many folks using many different BT units, not one has good quality, on the receiving end, worst than a speaker phone.

And what's up with those BT folks always walking around with the BT in their ear, blue light blinking (reminds me of the old K-Mart days :lmao: ) even when they are not on the phone having a conversation. :confused3 You see them sitting in a restaurant, walking in a store, etc, looks like a giant roach-like bug landed on their ear. I always think they want others to know they have BT or something.

They are WAY cooler than us Dan ;)

I have one but don't use it that much. The earpiece is too big to keep it on my ear. If I ever find one with a smaller earpiece I will use it all the time. I actually hear better with it.

I think it looks a little bit like a Borg implant from Star Trek.

I do- not only is it easier than holding a phone trying to drive- it is ILLEGAL. the funny thing is- if you get caught on the interstate- $120 fine- you get caught on post(i live on a military post) it is $50. same with seatbelts. someone said to me the other day- if you are going to talk on your phone and not wear your seatbelt- do it on post! the fine for doing both at the same time is less than doing one off post. I just laughed at the humor of it

hmm-fine may be less but if you get ticketed for driving without a seat belt or hands free on post here you loose your on post drivng priviledges-not only on our installation but on the others in the vicinity ( im in colorado springs colorado-2 army installations and 6 airforce bases in a 200 mile radius). Since loosing my driving priviledges would really handicap my work life i dont risk it-yea i use one-underprotest.

I understand what you're saying - texting while driving is quite dangerous. Talking on a cell phonoe (with a bluetooth), to me, isn't different than talking to the person sitting right next to you in the car (or your kids in the backseat). I can dial a number by using my voice - not my hands - with my bluetooth.

I had the same problem - I have very small ears. It takes a while for me to find a BT that fits - but I have found a few. The ones that work for me have the oblong shaped bud that partially fits inside the ear, and also wraps around my ear.
