If I had exceptional service at Ci-Ci's, I'd leave something. I may have left .50 or something after eating if someone refilled a drink, but it isn't really a tipping place (though again, there is no reason NOT to tip if you choose to).
I have been given tiny tips in the past when waiting on tables - it is really deflating. Being a server is a tough job, and I like to make sure I tip well to those who deserve it.
I remember when I worked at Ponderosa for a few months - a lot of guests didn't even know that we worked on tips, that we only were making 2.01 or whatever it was an hour back then.
