Do you tip carpet installers?

I am getting new carpet today and these guys are great. We were almost ready for them but not quite...they were so nice about it and said they knew it was a lot to do. It has only been 1.5 hours and they already moved all the furniture and have a lot of the carpet out of our house. They are even sweeping underneath the pad we had. I have had carpet put in one room of the house by another company and they were horrible...so this is a nice change. I don't really have a lot of extra money and there are at least 3 guys. I am not sure if I should do anything. I wish I had my Blockbuster gift card and popcorn baskets made up...that would be perfect. TIA for any advice.

I always just offer them something to drink.

When we had our carpet installed the 2 guys stayed late to finish since the LV was the last room they did. We ordered pizza for them and us and offered them a case of beer to take with them. We gave them the leftover pizza too since the one guy had mentioned earlier that his teenage child was waiting at home for him.

I tip waiters & pizza delivery guys & not much else.

My DH does floor covering.He does get tips quite often,people also buy pizza alot.
More times thqan not he does not get tipped.

The biggest tip he has gotten was 300.00.the smallest 20.00.

Thanks so much for all of your replies. We ordered them pizza for lunch. I hope it gives them fuel to finish the job today...they said it might take 2. I want to put up my Christmas tree tomorrow And...take a shower They got here before I was able to this morning...lol.

I do. Had my basement done and gave each $20. They were college kids. I'm sure they could use it.
