Do you tie your shoes?

I don't tie my shoes weither. I have the new tennis that you don't have any shoelaces at all and I love them.

Mine are firmly tied. very firmly. If there is any slipping and or sliding, they will be untied and retied.

I cant stand loose shoes so mine are firmly tied all the time. If they loosen up I stop and tie them. I also go around telling people their shoes are untied. It always struck me as being dangerous so I always said something to someone in case they didnt realize it. I taught both my boys at a young age how to tie shoes which was a challenge with the younger one since he is left handed and I am right handed. My younger one got it and became the shoe tying champ in the first grade....he tied the shoes of over half his classmates constantly. My eldest has just never ever gotten it right. His shoes are constantly undone. We have nagged him about it, school nagged him about it, and aftercare nagged him about it but to no avail. I finally gave up and bought him velcro sneakers. One less thing to cause friction around the house.

Even when they are DOUBLE tied! I don't know what crappy material they are made of these days, but mine NEVER stayed tied! Drives me INSANE!!! Remember when they were made of the "other" material, and you would get knots in them, and had to cut them to get the knot out? Not anyomre, I miss that kind....

I'm always bugging my son about it. How do they stay on your feet? Aren't they falling off? The answer is always...no. "confused: He tucks the ends of the laces inside the shoe. Hmmmmmm. What bugs me even more is that he wears his socks with the back of them IN the sneakers. They about half way cover his heel. How the heck can that be comfortable, never mind how weird it looks. A few weeks ago I saw a 20 something female driving a jeep with her socks the same way!

I always tie mine. I can't believe people would leave their shoes untied.

I drive DH crazy because I don't UNtie my shoes. I lace them loosely so I can just slip my feet in and out. I hate untying them and tying them back up again. DD does the same thing (I wonder where she got it from?)

I do the same thing. Most of the shoes I buy now don't even have laces. My favourite are the Pumas with the criss-cross velcro - a lazy girls best friend!

Tie them, then double knot for extra security. I've been known to quad knot from time to time.

Falling down hurts too much to not tie my shoes.

I hear so many people exclaim "Oh my! She must be smart! She's got her shoelaces tied!!"
