do you think we have time for candlelight & boat for illum. in same night?

ok, we will be in wdw over x-mas, and i want to surprise dh and dd with a pontoon boat ride to watch illuminations on x-mas eve (IF i can get a ressie **crossing fingers**) BUT!, i would also like to see the candlelight prosessional on x-mas eve.

the candle-pros. is at 5, 6:45, and 8:15.....now i know the 8:15 is out.
*but do you think we could make the boat if we go to the 6:45?
*how long does the CP take?
*we were just there this past x-mas...but i can't remember what time it gets dark....its not dark at 5pm, is it? i don't think we would enjoy CP as much if it isn't dark.
*if you buy the package, can you eat before the CP?
*can you see the CP w/o tickets?

You should be fine with the 6:45 show. Illuminations is shown at 9:30 during the month of Dec. so the Illum cruise boats don't leave the marina until about 8:30 at the earliest.

I don't remember if it was completely dark at 5pm so I would just do the 6:45p CP.

Yes you can, but on Christmas eve there will be alot of other people wanting to do the same thing. If you have a dinner ressier thru CP you'll be guaranteed a seat at the 6:45 performance.

thanks a ton travelin' tigger!!! i think i have all the info i need now.

i will book CP for 6:45 w/ dinner at coral reef before. that link says the show is about 40 minutes long, so we will have about an hour to make our way to the yacht club marina for the boat......IF i can book it......wish me luck!

(and if anyone is thinking of doing this the same night, i will gladly share the boat!)
