Folks,

I have a 10 year old daugther that is asking for those (ugly) UGG boots this Winter. Yes, I know they and those slippers were very popular last year with the pre-teens and teens.

Do you think that those shoes will still be the "in" shoes to wear. I can't help thinking that the fashion trend will go elsewhere.

What do you think?

I stilllove mine and wear them with comfort and joy no matter whether they are in style or not. I thought they were out like 2 years ago but I'm still rockin mine in the winter. They keep my feet and legs nice and toasty and soft.

They never went out here. The shoestores start selling them in August. I was shoe shopping yesterday and was told they sold 283 pairs in August! I think your 10yr old would probably love them. I have a pair and they're very cosy, but not so great when it's slippery. I've also seen crocs with a fuzzy lining...think they should call them Cruggs!

I remember everyone wearing them when I was in high school and that was 18 years ago :scared1: Im sooooo old.

Still in style here too. My DD & I went to the mall today, she wanted some to wear with her jean miniskirt and black leggings. We looked at the Ugg boots at Journey(s) shoes, but they wanted $130 for them  . DD actually liked the Bearpaw boots better, they were $60 at the Station :yay:.

Not only are they still popular but now you can accessorize them! Check out these "Boot Hugs" .... all the girls at my DD's school want several of them! These are just the beaded ones. They also have feathers and fringe, charms and ribbons, etc.

My DS works PT in the womens shoe dept. of a large sporting goods store. They are flying off the shelves.

I got DD wanna be knock offs last week at Target for $29

Yes - theyre still popular, but these (pic below) are becoming more and more popular .... at least around here:

I loooove those!!
I wear mine whether they're popular or not. They're comfy and warm and that's all that matters to me! I get the cheap knock off ones. :rotfl:

I am wearing mine now! I put 'em on as soon as I get out of bed, and usually wear them to work. We have a pretty big University here and every girl you see has them on....DD has a purple pair she wears to soccer practice.

I personally wear them because they're comfortable. Most of the people I know think they are ugly, doesn't bother me in the least. I have ridiculously messed up joints, and the boots keep my ankles and feet warm, which helps relieve pain.

Of course we're talking about a ten year old here, so it matters more so if they are the "in" thing. I don't ever see kids that age wear them around here, but I see teenage girls and up wear them all the time, so I guess they are still "in".

I was at Nordstrom yesterday - and they were everywhere.

I have a friend in corporate at Nordstrom's and we just had this conversation yesterday! She says they cannot keep them in stock at any of their stores and it's been that way for the last few years. I just bought my first pair last week, I'm loving 'em!

I just bought my self and my 2 daughters a pair at Nordstrom. Both departments said they can't keep them in stock. If you want them I would get them soon. I remember not being able to find them in stock anywhere online last winter.

YES!! besides that they do keep you warm, they will always be in style.. as long as celebrity are still wearing them, people will notice and think they are cool. I saw a picture this morning of Jessica Parker and her son both of them had there UGGS on and so did I. It was a bit chill this morning.

I hope you do decided to buy them. Chestnut is always a good color of even the ones that Sarah Jessica Parker has on too.

They never went out of style here. There are so many different kinds of Uggs and every year a new style becomes the popular one. This year it's these:

I have them in black and as you can see they are no longer available in that color or the grey color. Those 2 colors sold out already and won't be in the stores till Dec. They can be worn a bunch of different ways too. I love them! I seriously have never put anything more comfy on my feet! I have the classic Uggs in different colors too and they are so comfy. I will always wear them even if they go out of style.

My 10 year old DD has a pair of the classic Uggs and she loves them. These are them:

I plan on buying her another pair for Christmas. I do also buy her cheaper knock offs to play around in.

I wear a 7 1/2 womens and I buy the kids size ( I think it's a 6 ) and save big bucks. I did that with my teva mush flip flops this summer and paid $12.95 instead of $19.99. :cheer2:

I love my UGGs. DD8 loves them too but I buy her knock off's, can't spend that kinda money when she might hit a growth spurt the next week.

Kinda like jibbitz for UGGs

Oh good gravy...I hope not!!!

I swear, you are the only other person I've ever heard say "Good Gravy" other than my Mom and her sisters, they've been saying it for years.
