As the only one who even mentioned the lie, IIRC...I take issue with your thinly veiled attack. I have not said I was perfect or that I haven't lied. And this has nothing to do with my pride or me at all. And I have never suggested that she lie about the purse or how she looked with the purse. Nor would I.Wishing on a star said:I think that those who are trying to make a big deal out of a little white-lie that you were kind of pressured into by this situation must be awfully proud of how 'perfect' they think they are? Funny how some of those who would hold this supposed little white lie against you are probably the same ones who think you should have lied, and that you should NOT have told the truth, when your neighbor was discussing whether you both liked the purse or not, or whether it was 'to young looking'!!!![]()
I said if the lie is what matters, then why is her lie any different? I don't hold ANYTHING against the OP, just trying to point out that her friend may have a different way of looking at it.
Now, the Ops lie is a little white lie that she was kind of pressured into? Maybe the friend felt the same way? Maybe she sort of felt pressured into it too? Maybe she felt pressured into giving it to the Op in the first place because she kept on about it?
That is all that I am saying. This is small stuff. If the friendship is worthy, it wll last. I just do not think the friend did an unforgivable thing. Nor did the OP, by lying about the lunch. I hope they can get past it, because it's just a purse. Maybe there is more here, I dunno.
