DO you think this MF increase will cause more people to sell

I think everything goes up yearly. I try not to worry about things like that. DH gets a raise every year too, so I guess it all balances out-at least that's what I tell myself!

We just put our OKW timeshare on the market this week, and this was the first time we heard about the dues going up, so it has nothing to do with that.
However, we've had it for 10 years and have enjoyed many trips. But, now that the kids are in school, we won't take them out during that time, and we do not care for Disney at peak times. Crowds and heat are not mine and my dh's thing!
Will we ever go to Disney again? Sure, but maybe we'll just save the dues money and rent points from one of you guys! lol

I can't see why the dues increase would cause folks to sell. It's still the least expensive vacation accommodations for us.

I totally agree. Bigger accomodations, fewer points, it is a total no-brainer to me. Having said that, if I ever had to sell one of our properties, it would be OKW over BWV because I would feel I could still get in there pretty easily at the 7 month mark most of the year if I wanted to.

It is a nice feeling to realize I could sell our points for 16% more than we paid for them in 2002, and that is after commissions to the TS store.

If I was going to sell I would be more likely to sell the OKW contract instead of my BCV or VWL contract. But I think all this will do is make it more likely I will add-on at BCV or VWL instead.

I would expect there will be increases in the prices of rooms booked through CRO also. This is still the best way to vacation at WDW!

From what I understand, most OKW owners aren't there because of the lower MF's, they're there because they like the location. Crazy fools.

Nah, can't be that. Cause we all know being able to get a beer from the fridge while sitting on the couch is a feature that can't be beat!

In my case I have to diagree since I have already broken even on my contracts and can sell them both at a profit after years of staying in 2BR villas.
