Go ahead and stick with Tony's. Yes it gets bad reviews, but it also gets good ones....as does EVERY restaurant at WDW.

If you checked out the menu and it is to your liking you will be fine.
Sounds like you have the time schedule set now, why mess with it? Too many problems will add to the stress and your anxiety while there, not to mention your planning now.

Tony's has good food, don't be nervous.

We were so full after WCC that we had to go back to the hotel and lie down! There is no way I would have wanted to eat or even see a dessert.

We loved WCC and I think an 8 year old boy would aswell. They seemed to make a real fuss of celebrations - i'm sure they'd get the restaurant singing to him. Take your time get a boat over from MK. Maybe order a cake for him there.

Thanks everyone again! I decided to keep Chef Mickey's for Breakfast...I'm going to let my son decide that day if he wants to do the pirates league...it's only a $10 cancellation policy...so I will let that up to him. I'm going to keep the 5:30 at Tony's (I'm very picky when it comes to italian food...but since moving to NC...Italian food is pretty much non exsistant here, so we will see...) And we decided to do the Wishes Dessert Party! My parents purchased the tickets tonight...so how can I say no...lol!

I don't think there's any way you'll make that 8pm dessert party, with 6:45 pm. ADRs at WCC. I'd either make the dessert party later, or have earlier ADRs at WCC. Or, better yet, move WCC to another day and find a place on-site to have dinner before the dessert party.

Tony's is not a bad place. I don't personally love it, but members of my family do! Its not that I have had a bad meal there, its the calamari. It seems everyone orders it and I hate the smell of it...so nothing bad about the food itself!!

I agree with the others that it is a much better plan than trying to get to WCC. When we went, we weren't seated for our ADR for about 20 minutes, the boat ride is great but s l o w and you have to wait for it sometimes on each side. That would make it close for you and an 8 pm Desert party. Even a 530 at Tony's you will still be full by 8pm!

skip Whispering Canyon and go early counter service instead...then you'll have room to enjoy that dessert party. Otherwise, you're spending a lot of money for the nibble you might be able to eat.

I couldn't imagine doing these 2 meals back-to-back! Enjoy your dessert party and skip WCC... that's what I would do!
