Do you think they will have free dining or other discounts for 2012?

Who Knows What EVIL Lurks In The Heart Of Disney Marketing?!

When Disney feels ready to implement their next promotion they will do so. If other recent promotions have been any indication, for about the first month nobody will really understand it and the Marketing people will not have thought out all the ramifications.

And personally I hope they eliminate both the regular Disney Dining Plan and do away with "free" dining. Both have lead to the downfall of choice and quality in reasonable priced meals.

I agree. I think they have gone a little crazy with the amount of promotions lately. I would like to see free dining become a thing of the past.

I completely agree with you on the bolded part!!

we love the free dining bc our DC are not big eaters, so it becomes a waste when ordering food for them. They of course want different things so I can never just order one to split.

Ok I heard of a kids eat and stay free deal, why can't I find it on their site? Is this true? If so we would def. benefit more than a 20% room only discount. Help LOL.

The Kids Free Deal is on the website....I was just looking at it....you need to find the section that says "special offers"....it was kind of hard to find but you will see it eventually!!!

So true Cheshire... but the saddest thing is that even if they eliminate free dining, there is no guarantee that food quality/variety will return to the greatness of the past. Chances are, we have seen the last of premium dining in WDW <SIGH>

Well I won't say that I want to see free dining because we usually use DVC, but I would like to see something for 2012 since we will have 35 people traveling this time.

It'll be great to have discount or free dining at WDW, as having a plan to trip their either in May or September. Which time is best to get maximum discount there?

Typically Sept has very good discounts, but you contend with hot weather and hurricane season.

I agree....some people are on a budget and the dining plan helps with that. So I cannot see any problem with giving these people the option!

Us "po-folk" love "Free-Dining"! If we really want excellent food,we'll jump in our car and drive 30 minutes to New Orleans!"Free-Dining"makes our trips more affordable, and my wife/myself LOVE not having to cook,or spend too much money on food;besides, the food is decent, and some is pretty good.FD also allows us to fly instead of driving 12 hours and wasting 2 days on the road!;)It makes us happy-Patiently waiting for it to"rear it's ugly head" so we can book our next trip;Hopefully in September!!:goodvibes

The food quaility has nothing to do with free dinning if a place is going to serve crappy food then whether its free or not is not the issue..... I cant see where that argument makes sense.... if I have free dinning and order a steak and the person at the next table orders the same thing how does the kitchen that is making the food know that.... just something to think about
