It looks like all the newer DVC resorts sleep 5 in a 1BR - the chair is a single pullout, I guess.

I would love it if they upgraded OKW to offer the same accommodations. Has there been any talk of them doing this?

Obviously, a 2BR would then sleep 9.

Well they surely have the room for a sleeper chair...heck maybe two. ;)

Interesting you bring that up.

We visited WDW last week with the express purpose of buying into BLT next month. However, we stayed at BWV and I LOVED the location.

I love the proximity to 2 parks, the views, the boardwalk! I would buy resale there right this minute but for 2 big issues:
extra full bath
pull out sleeper.

As my two DD get older, the extra bed and bath are a big selling point. Im assuming they cant plumb an extra bathroom in BW, but the pull out seems pretty plausible...

If they were smart....and they are so I would say YES;)

When we stayed there we couldn't believe how much room there was. They could literally have 2 pullout sofa's with ease.

I think they will do this in the future putting OKW ahead of the rest as the "original" DVC. The extra years has just set them up to do this IMO;)

Well, I sure hope so!!!

The fire laws may not allow adding the extra sleeper chair to OKW. Plus they would have to modify the POS to be worded for five in a one bedroom.

Personally, I like it the way it is.

I can't imagine why they would say that OKW couldn't have a sleeper chair since it has far more space than the other resorts that have them. Isn't the fire code based on size of unit and how many people can be in the unit?? If they offered a sleeper chair...I would think that it might be very hard to book a 1 br at OKW. So maybe NOT a good idea for those that enjoy going to OKW and always getting a room on short notice.

Fire laws are based on the space needed to evacuate a building, not the living space. You could live in Grand Central Station, but if it only had one exit, you would be limited to only a few people. So you look at door widths, corridor widths, etc to get people out of the space safely.

I bet at some point they will allow 5 at OKW... well they allow it now, but I mean putting in a sleeper chair.

It will happen

Oh okay well then I doubt fire codes would prevent a sleeper chair at OKW then.
