Do you think they "clean" the cribs in between guests?

I have requested a crib for our stay. I cant be guaranteed I would get it though and I do absolutely need it. My baby will not sleep in a PNP. They do have some cribs not all PNP. Do you think they actually clean the cribs (Not just change the sheets but wipe them down, etc) or no? I have the option to rent a crib from Kingdom strollers, who state they clean the cribs in between guests. Anyone have any thoughts on this?

If you absolutely must have a crib, rent one from an off-site company. We requested a crib in 2011 when my son was 11 months old and they didn't have any.

Also, book asap with the off-site company. For a different trip, I booked a toddler bed way in advance. Then, as we got close to our trip, my son was still in the crib at home. I called to change the reservation and the off-site company didn't have any cribs left.

I would say no, as well. We've never used one of their cribs but we did ask for a bed rail a few years ago and it was very dirty. I'm convinced they only clean what they have to in general, which is why I always take cleaning products with me on every trip.

My guess is no. Also, cribs aren’t guaranteed, either. I think I’ve “conversed” with you in another thread, but we rented from Kingdom Strollers when DS was 18 months. He was 30 lbs already and I didn’t think a PnP would be comfortable for him for the whole week. I wasn’t willing to take the chance of not getting a crib. The Kingdom Strollers crib appeared very clean. I think I still wiped it down, but I don’t think I really needed to. We were already spending a few grand on the trip...$80 was worth it for my peace of mind and my son’s comfort.

If you're renting or borrowing a crib or a stroller for your baby or toddler at WDW, whether directly from the resort or a third party, it's a good idea to wipe it down with lysol wipes (not sure I'd use an aerosol spray on a mattress my little one would be sleeping on, though). Cribs, pack n plays, strollers all get abused and touched by so many families, and it takes all of 5 minutes to clean it up. Even if they are cleaned by the owner, I doubt it's with the attention I would want and expect for my child. My kids are now big kids (13 and 9) but we've been taking them to WDW since they were in pre-k, and even now I still bring clorox or lysol wipes to wipe down our resort room.

Yes already ordered stroller and crib from Kingdom. Really hope they are clean!! Thanks so much! Yes, my baby could never sleep well in a PNP!

yes, I do plan on doing that, thank you for the suggestion!

Up came our crib and stroller from Kingdom. I have to say, both items were so spotless, shiny and clean that I didnt even feel the need to clean the crib myself. The crib sheet and mattress was wrapped in plastic, a thick plastic, to keep it clean. The extra bedding was also wrapped to keep clean. The crib came covered with a thick cover, to keep it clean. It was in mint condition, safe and did I mention clean? The stroller was brand new. Kingdom strollers made our lives so much easier this trip!!!

Ok...update. So...I had requested a crib from the GF and had a crib ordered from Kingdom to be safe. Then after this thread, I decided I felt the crib from Kingdom would be cleaner, based on my email with them about how they sanitize the cribs in between. But I kept the crib from GF on my request. Sure enough, when we got to the room, the crib the GF gave me was DIRTY!!! The sheets were like 100 years old and had BROWN bits of SOMETHING on them!! It was either food or feces! I quickly wheeled that crib out of the room, never having placed my child in it. I was just about to take a picture when housekeeping came over to me in the hallway and I told them about the dirty crib/sheets they gave me. I didnt complain or anything, just let it go because the GF had already just gave me a room change unrelated to the crib, which I was thankful for. So up came our crib and stroller from Kingdom. But very disappointed the GF of all places, gave me a used crib sheet with brown CRAP on it!!!!!
That's awful. :(
