Do you think the Leap Pad will be hard to get for Christmas?

YES!! Do not wait! I am putting ours on lay-a-way.

But last year the Fisher-Price iXL was a hot item and thats the ONLY gift my youngest wanted! I waited till Black Friday when I do all of my shopping to go get it well...... =( NOTHING! It was out of stock online and all the stores within a 50 mile radius!! Every week I checked TRU, Walmart, Target, and Meijers in our area by calling each one I was willing to drive 2 hours to purchase it if needed! Well I got lucky the day before Christmas Eve I happen to be out shopping for a few things and decided to go look and found 1 all alone hidden with the LeapFrog stuff We were lucky she would have been one sad little girl had it not been under the tree.... Too bad Fisher-Price did not last a whole year, we had all kinds of issues with it before it just died =(

Are you aware of Fisher-Price's warranty? My daughter got an Elmo phone a year and a half ago and it broke within a week - I called them and no questions asked, they sent me a new one right away! The lady told me that they do that for anything within 1 year of purchase. Anyway, I'm sure it's too late now, but maybe for future knowledge. My daughter got an iXL for CHristmas last year also and plays with it everyday and it still works great.

I just got an e-mail from Leapfrog with $10 off code for their Columbus Weekend Sale. (Never mind it excludes Leappad bundles). I also got a $10 off coupon for toys r us but it excludes learning game systems. So I guess I better go ahead and pick one up soon. I really didnt want to pay full price but I think I have to.

=( I e-mailed Fisher-Price a few months back and the response I got was to check with the store I purchased it from. They would assist me if I bought it directly from them. I bought mine from Target, I no longer have the box or receipt.

For future reference, if you pay w/ a debit or credit card @ Target, they can look up the purchase through your card. No need for a receipt.

My 7 and 4 year old love theirs. If it's on your kids list I would get it early.

My 7 year old adores her's and since my 6 year old has an Explorer we already had a lot of games for it!
