Do you think my travel agent is going to kill me?

:confused3 We had booked a trip awhile back. While reading these boards I began to wonder if we could do 1 deluxe room (AP Rate) close to the same price as 2 rooms at Value. So I send off an email to our travel agent. In the meantime - she calls me because Disney had cancelled the last 2 days of our trip. She needed my cc number again. I ask her about going Deluxe - she said sure. So she changed our reservation to WL - for the whole trip. Now my kids are saying they also want to stay at Pop. I have not even received the confirmation for this lastest change! What is she going to do? I'm one of those people - who hates to put people out.. Please tell me how to go about this. I really would like to stay at a value for a few days. It would sure save on the old pocketbook. Are they use to people changing two or three times? :bounce: :Pinkbounc :bounce: :Pinkbounc Thanks - sorry this is so long.
P.S. I didn't really save on the deluxe. But we don't take this kind of trip every year.

bdpa, I made our ressies in January and started out with CSR, then called my TA and changed to WL, then called and changed to a split stay between WL and Poly, then called about adding dining and changed to POR. My dh just made a good commission and I would love to upgrade but I refuse to change our ressies for a 5th time. I'm sure they run into this some so the way I look at it is your vacation and she is there to help.

I went through AAA and changed also. I first booked last August for this coming June. I had the prince and princess package, but when they came out with the MYW+ dining and it was less than $100 more for the food and an extra night, I changed it. Then, last week, right before I had my final payment due, I read some awesdome posts about the CSR and fell in love with it. SO... I called my TA back and changed again. I dropped 1 night and upgraded from ASMO to CSr. It took a few phone calls to get it figured out, but a few hours later, we had our package booked for about $300 more at CSR.

Don't feel bad because that is their JOB!! Customer satisfaction is what keeps people continue to use travel agents.....so who cares if you change your mind 2 or 3 times

She's gonna kill you. I wouldn't go to sleep with both eyes closed for a while....

I have changed my ressies a few times too with my TA, I am still alive! :flower:
Do what makes you happy, she will understand. If she doesn't time to find a new TA!

I absolutely do not mind making changes for any client - Even multiple times, as long as the client is not playing games. I have many clients who change for multiple reasons, multiple times, and I do it with a smile and a thank you for your business.

It is my job to make sure that what is booked is what the client (thinks they) want. I may ask what prompted the change, and give any positive or negative input based on that info, but, ultimately the decision is the client's.

If your agent seems unwilling, or put-out, it is definitely time to find a new agent. I only work 3-4 days a week, but my clients are willing to wait for me to be in the office because they know I will give them 110% when they need it.

So - Don't worry. Do what you think is best for you. It is your vacation.

Have a blast!!!!

:goodvibes Thank you so much for your responses. You make me feel much better. I will contact her today. That way I will have (2) happy kids instead of just one! You guys are great. I love reading these boards.
