pack everything I need for a 6 night trip in a carry on. DH and I are not checking baggage this trip (don't ask my why, something he dreamed up). He thinks I will not be able to do it, which of course makes me want to be successful even more.
I'm wearing my crocs, those things are huge. mmnn....as long as we have our APs, right?

I can barely get all the stuff I think we'll need between our house and our destination in my carryon so I'm no help. Tell him you'll cheer wildly for him if he can do it but you're checking your bags.

Do you use the maximum sized carryon allowed?

Make sure you roll your clothes or put them in a ziplock bag and squish all of the air out. You'd be amazed at what you can fit it.

Just make sure that you don't go over the weight limit allowed for carryons, although I have yet to have them check the weight of my carryon luggage.

It sure saves time waiting for luggage at the airport when you only have to grab your carryon and go

I can't go on an overnight trip without bringing my razor with me. and those have to be checked...can't be in a carry on.

why put yourself through the hassel? Just check the bags.

believe me, I would check them. No way am I going to not check anything on return trip. I go crazy at DD.

Maybe YOU can do this but I sure as heck know that I can't! In fact, I pack a smaller suitcase inside a larger one for all the junk that dd and I insist on collecting at WDW. And I check 'em all.

I rarely take more than a rolling carry-on to WDW, and I've been there as long as 10 days. And that includes packing at least 2-3 pairs of shoes.

The time it saves me at baggage claim is worth the $2.00 to buy a couple disposable razors for a week.

I was going to post a big ole' NO to this question, but then remembered that I went to Paris (in Jan, no less, when pants were needed) and packed only a backpack for a 10 day trip! Now, we did do laundry while there, and it was a 'backpack' kind of trip. But I did check it because it was RIGHT after 9/11 and I thought for sure tweezers and razors would be no-nos.
I wonder if they were then (I mean Jan 2002 was very close to that day)??

I guess you'll have to give it a try, and if it's a no-go tell dh to relax and sit down while YOU wait at baggage claim. Don't see why he would argue with that.

Pack your carryone as you normally would.

Take the remaining items and put them in a big box and mail them to your resort.

Proudly show your DH your carryon. Gloat to your hearts content. Bypass the luggage carosels. When you get to your resort, hide the box!

You are also usually allowed one carryon bag and one "personal" item such as a purse or brief case or laptop computer etc.

As long as you can fit it under the sit, you can carry it. So take a backpack or a small duffel type bag along with your roll-on bag. That will give you more space and if you are a purse carrying person, just make it a small one and put it inside the backpack or small duffel bag.
