My youngest DS LOVES salads, but will only eat them with Olive Garden salad dressing. I buy 3-4 bottles of it at a time! As long as it is sealed, do you think it would be ok, to bring onboard and take it to the dining room at meals? The things we do for our kids!

I don't think that will be a problem at all....however, you can not take it back off the ship at the end of your cruise. Well you can, but if you get caught by customs, you will have to pay a 50000.00 fine.

That is some expensive salad dressing!!

Have a great cruise.

Hey, we are on the same cruise!! If I see someone carring around olive garden salad dressing.....I now it will be you! See you onboard!

Travis

ps....I love that salad dressing too.....We can be table mates!! hahahaha:tongue:

yes, I am sure you can. When our daughter went with on our cruise, we brought several items with us since she had allergies to many different foods. Our server was especially intrigued by her "natural maple syrup. he even tasted it and loved it. We left it for him when we left. She brought her own orange juice and jam also. No problems at all. We just didn't take it back off the ship with us.

You may even be able to give the dressing to your server the first night and ask them to use it for your DS's salads during the cruise. That way you're not schlepping a bottle of salad dressing around all week. :)

Thanks! Great idea!

This is what the DCL website says about bringing on your own food:

(food) items must be pre-packaged, un-opened, and do NOT require any food prep from the kitchen.

Homemade items or pre-cooked items purchased on the way to the ship will not be allowed to be brought aboard. Also, open bags or containers of snack items should not be brought aboard ship. All items will need to be stored in the stateroom. The ship's storage and/or refrigeration is not available to use.

So, it sounds like you can bring the (unopened) salad dressing, but will need to store it in your stateroom, and no Olive Garden breadsticks allowed. :(
