Do you think Disney will offer GREAT deals

for Florida residents...more than usual. We could really use a break right now. Everyone is stressed out, emotionally and physically exhausted! Our economy is really hurting due to the storms and all of the expenses that entails. Francis and Jeanne both hit my area hard and our income is really suffering. Luckily, though, our home is intact. A lot of people are less fortunate.

I'm NOT going to cxl my Dec. trip no matter what! It's the only thing I have to look forward to right now. LOL

I do think people will continue coming to Disney no matter what, especially because this year has been so wierd...It couldn't possbly hit us so hard again, right?

I suspect too it will take an extra incentive for NEXT hurrucane season.
On the other hand most tourists were not affected by the hurricanes and the general public's memory fades easily.
By next year it may help be a deciding factor only deciding WHEN to go to WDW, not if.
August is the slowest summer month anyway.
For this year there is too much going on already (I think) to hurt them.
The food & Wine Fest starts tomorrow -- as does MNSSHP.
After Halloween the holday season really kicks in.

My DH and I want to book a trip end of Sept next year to celebrate our 25th Wedding Anniversary. Here's hoping they do offer better rates. This would be our first trip for only the 2 of us since our honeymoon.

I don't think so their great deals aren't so great anymore & they are harder to get. They let these hotel.com companies buy blocks of room for the discounted price that's not fair. I may stop going to Disney all together after our annual passes run out. Kids getting older can switch to Universal.

I have seen lots of great deals out for WDW and have been able to get those deals. Universal sells blocks of rooms to companies online too. They told me they were sold out and I booked thru WDW instead for next week. A couple of days later I discovered that hotels.com still had Universal rooms but I got a better deal thru WDW and decided to stick with that reservation.

We just returned from a week stay yesterday. Just my two cents, but I thought it was much busier than previous years at the same time, probably because of Jeanne. Last Sept I remember the whole world being pretty much empty...Typhoon Lagoon especially was packed with people this time...I spoke with lots of FL residents that were staying at WDW because they lost power, had damage, etc. I'm just glad Disney offers these people a safe place to say.
