Do you think Blizzard Beach will be more/less crowded than the main parks?

Reopening on March 7th. How crowded do you think it will be over spring break vs. the main parks?

the crowds are always smaller at the water parks than the main parks. If you go to a water park, just get there about 10 minutes prior to open and you will find you can do pretty much anything with a small wait for the first hour or so. The water parks also empty earlier, so the last two hours are walk on for all the rides. The crowds are highest between 11 and 2.

WDW news live-streamed today’s opening. It was completely dead and as per his words one third of those that were there were you tubers and bloggers. Perhaps due to weather and that they no longer honor APs, or combo of the two. Surprising for a weekend.

hope the sparsity bleeds into late March when I’m there.

For spring break -- less crowded would be my guess based on past experience. Now summer is a different story. Everyone and their brother wants to escape the Orlando heat and humidity and still be outside.

Isn't the only way to go now single day tickets, park hopper plus tickets and those of us that had our water park only passes extended?

I do think weather had a lot to do with it and I Think alot are waiting to see how protocols are actually executed. If you really have to wear one in the bathroom then we are cancelling and not going. Not going to walk all the way back to chair to get a mask when a kid needs to go potty that is just over kill.

You do have to wear a mask to the restrooms, shops, and dining venues, that much has already been confirmed.

yes but bathrooms is ridiculous. Sorry but no other water park enforces bathrooms because they don’t want people peeing and pooping in pools/slides.

if you have ever been to a water park you would know most people pop in when between slides and in that case no one is gonna have a mask on them. So unless they want to stand and hand out paper ones as people.
Enter it’s gonna become an issue. Lots of discussion on it on face book and most agree it’s nuts.

I don't think it is ridiculous at all. We go to water parks many times each year, including several times after the pandemic began and had no problem with putting on a mask for the restroom. We always would stop back at the loungers to towel off and put on shoes before going to the bathroom anyway in pre-covid times, so it really wasn't that much of an adjustment. But even if it was, the fact we've always stopped by the loungers on the way to the restrooms even before we had to is proof it can be done without much inconvenience.

I do expect that if people are not complying, they will post someone at the restroom entrance to require it. Don't see why they need paper masks handy--to buy a ticket you have to agree to the rules, including that you'll bring your own mask and wear it in the required areas.

I don't put too much stock in people on facebook saying something is nuts. There are a fair amount of people on facebook who are convinced it is impossible to breathe while wearing a mask and doing so in the Florida summer would make you pass out, despite the evidence of innumerable people who manage just fine. Seems to me the people who have the hardest time with mask rules are the ones who give up and declare it to be a nightmare before they even give it a fair try.

We do water parks all the time and rarely see people with shoes on since it’s usually a pop in on the way especially with kids.

It’s fine for us since we know the rule and now know we will be canceling our water park pass and weekend stay because for us with 3 younger kids it just becomes too much hassle when we can go to other water parks where it is much simpler and easier to enjoy our day.
