1st dinner??? I'm asking b/c we're going to be down there with my parents (search, "my dad is a cheapskate and thinks he's in Las Vegas!!! :rotfl2: )
Anyway, I was going to do the whole...let's just choose from the different counter service/booth places but I'm thinking of doing a sit down. Actually, I'm thinking of going to the Biergarten. He's a total weiner about how much food costs (due to going to Vegas!!). I would like to give him a good 1st night meal. We'll be at our hotel by 12 and I'm planning an afternoon break and then going to Epcot for dinner/Illuminations.
If anyone has any other suggestions, please feel free to help.

i think it's reasonable, we went for lunch and i don't remember how much dinner is...however if they are into early bird specials why not see if you can get a late lunch ressie.( most stop lunch at close to 4) lunch menus are cheaper and you can grab a snack later if you are hungry

I went there with my 17-year-old niece (her request) for the lunch buffet and it was a good buffet for the cost. But (you had to know there was a but somewhere there) it's kind of heavy German food - the sausages, salads, vegetables, etc. A little too heavy for my taste but I was spoiling my niece. Great atmosphere. Great wait staff.

If you LOVE the taste of German food than this is good place. I THOUGHT I liked German food until I ate at Biergarten. To me, everything tastes exactly the same and leave you with a delightful rancid vinegar aftertaste. My dad, however, who has had lots of good German food in the past loved the place.

If you are looking for the most bang for your buck, you might want to consider eating dinner at 'Ohana at the Polynesian. I think it might be $5 or $10 more per person but that's for dinner, not lunch. I have NEVER heard anyone complain that there isn't enough food here. If you are meat eaters - this is a great place to get your money's worth!
