Do you tell your friends about the DIS?

I've mentioned it to my best friend - I like to talk to her about some of the best threads and she sortof understood when I was so excited about my tag. But I've never sent her a link or told her the name. Message boards aren't her thing, but I don't need anyone I know seeing what I say on here.

DH is the only one I know. He is the unfortunate recipient of all my subscribed thread emails and uses it to see what's up and what I'm currently interested in.

Don't post about your friends and then direct them to the site!!!!!!! Duh!!!

All over now. Never tell a soul. In fact, told them I'm doing something else on my down-time.

Only my dh and sister knows i am here, but by chance a friend whose dd is friend's with mine is a member here. I would have never known if I hadn't recognized her username.

NO!!!!!!! I will tell my family, I read this or that on the Disney boards, but nothing else. Of course, they also don't the Disney obsessions!

Heck no! This is my private neck of the internet world! Besides, I may write about them from time to time! They'd also think I was an even bigger freak than I already am because I hang out at a message board on a somewhat daily basis.

This was going to be my answer as well. No way! Only DH knows!

I would NEVER tell my friends about the Dis Boards!! They would think I have totally lost it in sanity! And besides, I would be scared to death they would figure out my Dis ID and then read all my posts! Now that would be EMBARRASSING! I'd never live it down!

I am considering printing business cards up to pass out to her friends with her id....

My dbf and a few friends know I post on a disney forum, but they don't know what site. My dad is registered here, but he rarely posts. I don't think anyone else knows.

All my friends know about it and I’m sure they think I’m a freak. Thankfully no one has asked for the URL. DH knows where it is since I often forward him links to threads that might interest him. That was a mistake! For one thing, he started posting here and one time he said something mean to someone and we got in a fight over it. I was so upset that there was a big jerk on the DIS and I was married to him!!! He stopped posting after that. I think he still comes here now and then when he’s bored. In a way it bothers me because if I ever wanted to talk/vent/ask advice about him (or my stepchildren) I can’t do it.

Sweetie, in case you’re reading this… I was just kidding. Clearly there is nothing negative I could possibly want to say about you or your wonderful children. Love ya, mean it!!!

Nope, never told my friends. Only DH and the kids know. Not that it's a secret or anything, but if I need to vent about them- they'd know it! The DIS is my escpae!
