Do you take naps?

I don't take them often but if I don't get enough sleep, I sometimes do take a nap. I must be getting old or something though because I never could take a nap and now it is sooo easy.:thumbsup2

I am a power napper. If I take a nap its usually 16 minutes. I set my alarm for 45, but always sleep 16. I probably average 2-3 power naps a week.

I sure do. When the baby goes down for a nap so do I. She likes to get up awful early in the mornings.

I take a 20min to 1/2 hr nap most everyday!!!! Thats all I need. Dont even need a alarm clock to get me up! I just do!

:3dglasses

I took one today, the time change thing always throws me off, plus I had to spend 3 hours at a children's birthday party and that is enough to exhaust anyone!

I take a nap ocassionally on weekends, but I don't always sleep well at night (I have some health issues that sometimes wake me), so by the time the weekend comes I am sometimes in need of extra sleep.

I try to take a nap every day, especially when I have to get up early. Sundays are usually good for a nap since I play with a church band from 8:30 to 11:00 or so, come home, have something to eat and take about a two hour nap. Today was different, though. The church gig was from 10:00 to about 1:00, then I went to play with another band from 2:00 to 5:00, and another band from 6:00 to 10:00. I'll take two naps tomorrow...

A recent newspaper article said that studies show a mid-day nap at least three times a week can reduce the risk of heart disease by as much as 37%. I wonder if that's with or without the milk and cookies.

I love to take a nap if given the chance. Like today, for example - I took a 3 hour nap - it was wonderful! Last night I had a "girls night" with girls from work and didn't get home until after midnight. I was up by 8 via the daylight savings time, did some yard work, washed my car, and was exhausted so napped. I love it. It usually makes me feel better.

I'll lay down on the couch sometimes and let DD watch a show on Noggin or Playhouse Disney. I don't fall asleep, but just resting helps when I've lost sleep the night before. I'll also take a real nap on the weekend if I have a bad headache and DH can watch the kids.

Not unless I'm sick or pregnant. I hate naps. I always feel worse after taking one.

It all depends on what my medication/pain level tells me to do. :rotfl: Seriously though, I love sleeping, I really do. I would take a nap every day if my schedule allowed it.

I love to take the occasional naps. Actually took a nap yesterday outside on the screened porch.

I love naps! I think it's a college thing... everyone I know stays up late and then naps in the afternoon.

mmm...I love naps! My favorite is when the sunlight is coming in through the window and I can snuggle up in the sunshine with my kitties and a soft, cozy blanket. It's such a lovely, languid feeling to be daydreaming my way into a little doze. So relaxing and soothing.

I do it a couple times a week. I only sleep about 20-30 minutes, but I find it really does help. I get up around 4:30 to get to the gym before work, so I find the little catch-up naps helpful.

You just described me, minus kitties, add dog. I love my naps. My husband says my hobby is napping :confused3

OP--I love your family picture with big hair, sorry but I did laugh. :lmao:

I can only nap on the 50 train ride home from work.
However I'm leery about doing it because I missed my stop 3 times because
I was sleeping. :sad2:

I nap everyday. I do not sleep at night for more than 2-3 hours at a time so my naps are a blessing to me. I am a big old grumpy-head if I do not nap.

Yes I do. Usually I go out to my car at lunch and take a 20-30min nap, especially if it's a school night.
