Do you suffer from PDVD?

Count me in! We already have our dates picked or next year (9/25-10/1). We are taking my parents. We really want to stay at the BWV in a 1bdrm for them and a 2bdrm for us, however, after reading these boards I don't see that it's very likely we will get in at the 7 month mark. So I have to come up with another plan.

I suffer terribly. Except our trip last month...only because we'll be there again 3 weeks from now. But after that trip it's gonna hit me. :sad1: I've been saying we're going to take next year off and do something else but I just know I'm going to change my mind **as DH shakes his head**.

Wow,
How did you get the hubby to go back so soon? My dh fights me everytime. I want to go in Jan and he's saying "so soon"? It kills me.

My family laughs at me because I get all teary eyed as we check out.:sad1: The best thing to do is start planning your next trip!

I use to get teary eyed all the time until we became DVC Members. Now I know I'll be back in a matter of months and not years. But it still doesn't solve the problem of PDVD!!! :rotfl:

Every time.:sad1:

I used to think it was jetlag...my husband laughs because it is only a 3 hour flight....:confused3

It usually lasts about a week or 2 and then my son cheers me up :flower3:and and says, Mom, it s okay, we will be back in 6 months....:) Then he asks if we can eat at Teppan Edo again....:)

Me too. It was worse before we bought DVC. I think something that adds a great deal to the PDVD is the build up before you go and the trips are such a high that you makes for a long fall when you get home. One of the ways I get over it is to work on photos from the trip and recall the good time we had and then start looking forward to the next.

I will join in the chorus and say that it lasts about two weeks for me. We consoled ourselves by taking the plunge and purchasing the DVC membership after our last trip.

Now it's on to downloading and printing pictures from the trip.

This is how I feel! Before the trip I am already worried about the post trip disappointment. That time to escape all the world's worries is just so amazing. It is hard to adjust to "real life" when it is all over, and frankly sometimes real life sucks! I am really feeling the Disney blues right now too. It's only been two months and I am feeling the itch!

I do this all the time.

I definitely get it! It does help to plan the next trip. I think that is why I do so much for my planning. Once I have made my plans, I continue to rearrange to determine other possibilities.

I'm just strange that way.

You're not the only one. I do this too...and drive DH nuts in the process.

He was surprisingly good with it. However, we originally planned Sept to be a DL trip, but canceled and went to WDW instead. The Nov trip was already in the works.

We got a 1 bedroom at BWV's in 2006 - so dont be so sure. Make sure to give it a try. We are going to do the same thing for next year - we will make our 11 month ressie at SSR, but will certainly call on the first day of our 7 mth window and try for BWV.
