Do you suffer from PDVD (Post Disney Vacation Depression)? We just got back friday (10/23) and already I was on the DVC website getting points info and planning our next trip.

We get so excited about going, and before you know it, it's there and gone. Not to complain, as we feel lucky to be DVC members, and that we have gone just about every year (sometimes 2x) since joining in 2003.

But man - it really hits when you get home of how much fun you've had at the parks and resorts. The place and people really do make you feel special. I

I totally agree. We start planning our next trip on the drive home! I think the anticipation of our trips is 25% of the enjoyment. The great thing about DVC is that we always have a trip to plan. If we were paying cash, that wouldn't be the case.

No fair! You got to stay a day longer than me! Don't you find that you get a little envious when you read the boards and find people who were there more recently than you, or who are going sooner than you are. I can still remember the terrible feeling I had on Thursday morning as I sat outside BCV waiting for DME. The weather was so nice, sunny, decent temp that morning and I so wished I was staying. There should be a rule of nature that the weather is always crummy on the day you have to leave so it's not quite as painful to leave.

I suffer terribly. Except our trip last month...only because we'll be there again 3 weeks from now. But after that trip it's gonna hit me. :sad1: I've been saying we're going to take next year off and do something else but I just know I'm going to change my mind **as DH shakes his head**.

I'm suffering from it right now. We just got back yesterday and I miss Disney already :guilty:. I guess the only cure is for me to focus on our upcoming May vacation :goodvibes... I love my DVC!!!

Why did it have to be a Sunday morning? I just returned last week from a quick trip to visit my youngest daughter in the WDW CP. And was thrown into cleaning and preparing for my oldest's baby shower as soon as I got off the plane, so I was so distracted by the upcoming birth of my first grandchild. Sunday mornings are my DIS web surfing mornings and this post reminded me that I miss my youngest, miss my DVC and miss that magic. I'm feeling a little guilty in planning my December trip to help move my youngest back home while my oldest may be going into labor :confused3 And OMG, my oldest is starting to plan our December 2011 trip as the baby's first REAL WDW trip (she went this summer when she was 7 months pregnant) The whole family has it bad ;)

Is that what I have? LOL....I'm just now getting over the PDVD and I got back almost 2 weeks ago!!! The only cure I find that works is to begin immediately to the planning of your next trip and hit these boards daily!! Of course having folks around who are "suffering" like you also helps! :lmao:

I definately get it and the only cure is to plan the next one. It's nice to know that that I am not alone.

My former SIL used to get it before the vacation even started because she knew it would be over soon!

This is how I feel! Before the trip I am already worried about the post trip disappointment. That time to escape all the world's worries is just so amazing. It is hard to adjust to "real life" when it is all over, and frankly sometimes real life sucks! I am really feeling the Disney blues right now too. It's only been two months and I am feeling the itch!

I definitely get it! It does help to plan the next trip. I think that is why I do so much for my planning. Once I have made my plans, I continue to rearrange to determine other possibilities.

I'm just strange that way.

My family laughs at me because I get all teary eyed as we check out.:sad1: The best thing to do is start planning your next trip!

We definitely get it! We've been home for 1 week and 2 days and I'm already thinking about all the fun things we're going to do on our Christmas trip. We also have a Vero Beach trip planned exactly 2 weeks from now, it will be our first time there. I'm looking forward to going since it will be a new experience but I'm also trying to figure out if we will have time to drive to WDW and hang out at Animal Kingdom for several hours then drive back to Vero Beach the same day. But either way, it is nice to have several trips planned in the near future to look forward to. It makes PDVD less severe! :lmao:

I already mapped out the points for next year, and picked the week we are going to go. We also decided that we would do MNSSHP because we dont know how much longer we will be able to take our daughter out of school.

Nice to know others suffer. I will probably be at work tomorrow thinking...a week ago I was in the Magic Kingdom on The Haunted Mansion - a little daydreaming...

We have already booked a trip to BLT with a MK view for next year & we're heading "home" to BCV in Dec. I did feel a little of it after I did our ADRs for this trip... in a way relieved that we got the ressies we wanted, but a let down of not needing to think or plan it anymore! When we get back, I'll look forward to booking ADR's at 180 days out again for the next trip.

I totally agree about getting depression.

However, my first thought about PDVD was for a different kind of disease. ;)
