I agree. I guess people who store it under the bed unpack? I have never used the drawers.
I don't generally unpack unless I have something that needs hung up. I just shove the suitcases under the bed and pull them out when I need something. Since I've started using packing cubes, it's gotten a lot easier to find what I need

Don't want to pull dust bunnies out with my suitcase so I just leave the suitcases opened on the luggage rack with clothes in packing cubes for organization.

I don't unpack but still store my luggage under the bed if possible. I just pull it out when I need it and put it back. We have 4 people in a room and space is limited though. If I travel with just my husband and I, I use a luggage rack instead.

I don't generally unpack... I leave my luggage open on the luggage rack.

If I'm on a cruise, or when we were on Starcruiser, where there isn't room to have luggage open, I do use the drawers/shelves. I wipe them down and put my packing cubes and other items in there. In those cases, we did put our luggage under the bed or in the corner (if there wasn't underbed storage).

We have 5 of us in a room and utilize all the pull down beds. I typically leave one suitcase out on a rack with our packing cubes, but we utilize the under bed storage for all the shoes, sandals, souvenirs in bags, and any extra suitcases that we aren't currently needing (typically this suitcase is holding rain jackets or some extra snacks). It makes the room much neater with that many people!

I am often solo and just leave my luggage on top of the other bed in the room. But even when traveling with DH, i don't use the drawers, I leave everything in the suitcase and do not store under the bed.

Back in my pre-kid days I never bothered with unpacking - I'd just keep the suitcase open on the floor/second bed, because we had the space. Now there are 4 of us and we have to unpack if we want to be able to actually move around the room. If there's room under the bed, I unpack the suitcases and slide them under the beds to free up floor space. I also generally store things in the closet.

I am a huge fan of packing cubes so I can easily unpack into the dresser and store the luggage away. I read somewhere on here about taking a pop up hampers that hooks over the door and that was a major game changer. Every couple of days I would take things out and move them into the suitcases. My room has never felt so clean and that was with 2 toddlers. I now use this method on every trip at and outside of WDW,
Where do you get those and how do you hang them over the door?

Depends, if I stay in a 1 or 2 BR, then no, I put our suitcases in the huge closets. I also swear by packing cubes, so I just move them from my suitcase to the drawers. If I am in a studio or a regular room, then I do put them under the bed. I figure that the floor is cleaner under the bed than the floor I walk on in the room since the beds are covering it up and no one has walked on it recently!

Going back quite a few years on the boards, luggage under the beds was not recommended
due to bed bugs. This was during the whole put your luggage in the bathroom while you
flashlight the bed Disboard phase. (2009?) I still don't put anything under the bed for
that reason -- old habits.

I’m looking forward to our upcoming Poly stay with the new raised beds. I think the storage space underneath is a great idea. We are always lacking space for luggage when we travel. When our kids were younger we tried to combine luggages to take less and kept them on the rack or on top of the dresser. This trip we are now 4 adults so this mom will be happy to have some things out of the way!

If we do pop, I will store it under the bed with my stuff in it as we keep the pull down bed down the whole time and there isn’t room and I don’t ever use the drawers. If we do another hotel, such as our last trip at port Orleans, I kept it out and had mooooore than enough room to use the table for my stuff and still keep the suitcase out and open on a chair in addition to my mom using the luggage rack for hers

Same concern I have but I feel very disorganized in my room worrying about this.

Weird because back then, you couldn't store stuff under the beds, they had the bed frames that went all the way to the floor.

I don't like to put the luggage under the bed if I can see it. Feels messy to me. We pack in cubes, so the cubes come out and go right into the drawers. Empty suitcases go in the closet.

I'm traveling with two in a room; we tend to use the closet and packing cubes. I love the new style beds because you can see/clean underneath. I wish all rooms came with a swifter though! I don't like to see dirt on the laminate
floors.

Just curious how many people actually utilize the space under the beds and store their luggage under there?
I don’t. I sometimes keep items in my suitcase so don’t want to have to stoop to get in it. Mostly it’s just because I don’t want to stoop at all 🤣
