Do you still read a newspaper? Which ones?

I read the Philadelphia Inquirer about 2x a month on Sundays. I might buy a copy of USA Today about once a month, and I might buy the Philly Inquirer 2x a month on a Friday ( because they have the "weekend" section on Fridays ).

Maybe 2x a year I will read the Wall Street Journal.

I read the local paper once in awhile. I do not buy it though. More often I read it on line, but it doesn't have all the info on line.
Waste of money to buy it.

We subscribe to the Houston Chronicle and the Pasadena Citizen.

I subscribe to the local Fort Worth Star-Telegram. On my Kindle I will buy various digital newspapers to read, depending on mood and time of week.

For instance, on Fridays I occasionally get a copy of the Las Vegas paper, and read about all of the shows in town.

I also like to read the Chicago Tribune: a great newspaper.

On Sundays perhaps the New York Times, or one of the United Kingdom newspapers (The Times, The Independent or The Daily Mail). The Los Angeles Times also has a very good Sunday paper.

If I am in a sporting mood, USA Today.

I read the San Antonio Express-News every day. I occasionally read the Houston Chronicle on-line so I can read about my favorite sports teams.

We still get the local paper, but I am not sure why. It has gotten so bad that they did a front page article about the fireworks and symphony at the park complete with a schedule and pictures from last year. Problem is, the show at already happened the WEEK BEFORE. They didn't even bother to read the article before they published it because it even had the date in it.

Its pretty common anymore. The news is either old or wrong, I would love to cancel it and save the $15 a month it costs me.

I don't read any papers and don't watch the local news. Anything important will be online and free. I find the local anchors to be merely newsreaders. I can read my own news and don't really care about the fluff they include in their broadcasts.

We get the Sunday edition of the Philly Inquirer, but mostly for the sale ads and coupons. Any real 'news' can be found online and much more up-to-date than the paper can offer.

Every Morning. There is nothing better than sitting at an empty kitchen table with a fresh cup of coffee and reading the paper. Some of the Stories are already known from watching the news the day before, however there are plenty of local stories and box scores to read. Takes about an hour and is my quiet time when everyone else in the house is sleeping.

I read Newsday every day, Daily News on Sunday. I love to hold the paper in my hands to read. I get some info online, but it isn't the same as choosing what I want to read & reading it.

I subscribe to the Boston Globe. It's something to read on the train into work.

We get only our tiny town's weekly paper. And basically, I just get it so I can see which of my former students (or my current students' parents) have been arrested. :sad2:

I read several online newspapers. I don't know when I last read a paper copy of a newspaper.

I was a long-time subscriber to the L.A. Times when I lived in the L.A. area. Now that we live in Kansas, I read the Kansas City Star every day. I also read the news on-line though.

We get two papers delivered every day: The NY Times and the Newark Star-Ledger. A few years ago, we had three papers delivered (those two and another local one) and I was working in NYC so I would sometimes buy the NY Post or the NY Daily News. Yeah, four papers a day...and we read them all! ;)
That was pre-internet!

I prefer on-line because this way I am not tied into any ideology, subversive or otherwise... my interests are topical and free to roam based on interest this way.

I subscribe to a newspaper but I am not tied into their "subversive ideology"...I am still free to read the same stuff online as you do...I do like being able to access things online from other newspapers and sources. :thumbsup2

The only paper I get the Wilmington News Journal on Sundays. I look at the circulars, cut out coupons, look at the help wanted ads, and throw it out. It's journalism at its worst.
