Do you stay at the same resort....

..every trip or do you try new resorts each time?

I'd love to go back to the CB but now we are a family of 5 so that doesn't work. We are trying POR AB this time & hopefully BC 2006 trip.

Yes, we do.

Why? We loved it. I originally chose WL for its queen bed and bunks.

We continue to vacation there because it is a relatively small resort, contained in one building. There are three dining choices, the mercantile for shopping and the pool just steps away.

After all the hiking we do at the parks, this resort is just the right size!

I want to try them all. But I think I will return to POFQ in October. We just loved that resort.

The first time I went to DIsney (22 years ago) I stay in a DTD hotel. The next time I went we stayed at the Poly and loved it. Now that we've been coming every year we stay at the GF and can't seem to bear to leave it - except when we go to Universal and then we do HRH (Can't beat that FOTL). I would like to try a new resort but DH is GF loyal, not that I don't love it there. He has decided to run the marathon in January and I think that since it is a much shorter trip he is willing to try something else. I'm going crazy deciding between WL, Poly, POR or even POP. I would like to experience all the resorts but I think the only other ones DH will be willing to do a split stay with on our future annual summer vacations is YC or AK.

As you can see in my signature, I have yet to fall in love with a resort ( I have a feeling I would LOVE the Poly or GF but can't afford it )

Since we are a value type family the all stars are pretty much the same except for the theme.

Next up.....definitely POP .

I definitely want to work my way around the World resorts! In July, Dd and I will be at Pop. After I booked Pop, she said that she'd like to try CSR. I offered to try to switch the ressie, but she said she really wants to swim in the 'Hippy-Dippy Pool'.

So, next year, it's CSR for us! Maybe this year we'll hop over to CSR to check it out, maybe eat at Pepper Market. I would *love* to stay at GF, but I can't imagine that we'll be able to affor it anytime soon. At least, not until Dd and Ds are out of college!

Both! We have stayed at YC twice, BW twice, and this upcoming trip will be my 2nd trip to POP (but my family wasn't along for the first one). I hope to eventually stay at all of the resorts, but we definitely have our favorites we need to return to from time to time.

I sometimes mix our stay with resorts we've never been and resorts we already have stayed at. I don't think I will try all the Disney resort because some just do not appeal to me. My favorite resort so far is WL!

We like to try a new resort each trip. I loved WL and we are always tempted to stay there, and now that we've tried AKL, this will be another favorite. But it's nice to try something new. We have our eyes on Yacht/Beach Club for our next trip.

We love to try new resorts..It has worked out well because I used to dislike WL until I stayed there. I am not a very outdoors person so when we went there to check it out it was totally opposite my style but something happens when you stay there..It's that Disney Magic and you end up falling in love with the place. So if a style doesn't appeal to you give it a try because you never know.....

We used to differ on our resorts. Now being DVC we generally try to stay at BCV's b/c of SAB. But as you can tell from my signature we've stayed at a bunch of the disney resorts. i think its good to mix it up!

After the first stay at "Dixielandings / PORiverside" we were hooked, and that was 7 trips ago. The resort is perfect for us. The food court and Boatwrights, the beautiful, peaceful surroundings are perfect in our view. I have visited most of the other resorts, but still prefer POR for the value and surroundings. Our next stay there will be in October 2005. Can't wait.

I am trying to do a different one each time. But sometimes things don't work out that way. Because I live in FL I sometimes wait until the last minute to book a trip and have to take what is available. I am going next week and only made the ressies on Sat. Afternoon. All the Mods were books due to 2005 Danskin Women's Triathlon Series.

My parents always stayed at the Poly during our summer trips. I think I stayed there 17 years in a row or something! DH and I llke trying out new resorts. We're splitting our stay this summer between BC and the Poly. DH has never stayed there and I've started to miss it!

we have only been to DW once, and did a split stay at Pop and GF. we LOVED GF and so we are staying there again in january, this time for the whole week. i just felt like we didn't have enough time there since it was a short trip, and we split our stay.

but for our 3rd trip, we will try something new. i'm already starting to think about it . . .

With the 5 of us we are pretty much in a deluxe rut. DH insists on only a queen sized bed and I know it sounds crazy but I dont want 2 rooms at a value or moderate because I am sure the 3 teen ds would fight etc. if I am not on top of things all the time. Lately its been the Polynesian, garden view or swan with a govt. discount. I would maybe consider Contemporary again and DH wants the Grand Floridian just to say he tried it once. I go by price usually, the best deal wins. We have to Yacht Club, Beach Club and AKL too.
