Do you stay at the same resort every trip?

I own at VWL, BCV, BWV, AKV's and that is it for me. I think if Disney keeps buikding new resorts, I will use the 7 month window or rent from someone. I try different DVC resorts, just as I did different hotels. I could not imagine going to the same place every trip. We don't even do the same resort twice in a row.

I own at SSR, but have stayed at BWV, VWL and VB. I plan on trying them all. I'd really like to try OKW the layout for those villas look great. It's to bad they didn't use the OKW room layouts for the design of all DVC villas.

We bought with the intention of bouncing around & staying somewhere different for each trip. So far we've done OKW and VWL and in July will be a value studio at AKV (we have stayed in the lodge part before). Unsure about next year at this point. We want to do an extended family trip and don't know what our odds will be of being able to book at AKV - I think our family would be very impressed with it... If we can't get in there for what we need at 7 mo. then we'll probably try SSR or VWL if there's availability.

I would love to try VB in the not too distant future as well. At this rate it will probably be in 2010.:goodvibes

We own at BWV and SSR. Most of our stays are at BWV but we have stayed at BCV, OKW, SSR & VWL. AKL is still on our to do list as is VB and HH. We want to try all the DVC resorts. It's fun to enjoy all that DVC has to offer but it also feels great to go where it truly feels like "home."

We really enjoyed our home resort, SSR, and want to go back but we've decided we are going to try out other resorts. We usually go during the slow seasons. So far, we have only stayed at OKW. We are looking at a fall trip and want to try somewhere else that trip.

We're taking our 3rd DVC trip in July and it will be our 3rd resort. 1st was SSR last July, then AKV last month, and on our upcoming trip we'll be at BWV. It's been fun trying the different resorts and seeing what each has to offer. Each resort is uniquely themed and great for its own reasons. :lovestruc

After 12 years' membership it's still OKW and VB for us - where we own.

We have a small number of BWV points so we could do the occasional stay with BW view. We did this last month and wondered why we'd bothered - in future those points will likely be used at 7 months for OKW  .

Truth is, we just prefer OKW and VB and apart from HH (which we tried once and enjoyed) we have no interest in any of the others.

We have been members for only 2 years, but have already stayed at OKW, HHI, and VBR. All were fantastic. We hope to be able to try them all out some day.:goodvibes

We generally go with whatever is available and most cost-effective at the time. But not always. We love OKW because of the extra roominess, but we own at SSR so when we want to book far-out, then we'll book there (and check later on to change if we need to - we just did this for our stay at the Boardwalk in October - we had SSR but wanted Boardwalk because DH will be doing the Race for the Taste -- so we got SSR because we wanted to be guaranteed of a place to stay and then booked Boardwalk when we were within the 7-month window and then cancelled SSR).

We're staying at Beach Club next weekend because we've never stayed there and thought we'd like to try it out -- not cost-effective for us point-wise as it's a weekend, but it is the end-of-school trip and the kids have been wanting to try out Stormalong Bay.

We like Wilderness Lodge Villas around the winter holidays.

With Boardwalk and Beach Club stays upcoming, we'll have stayed at the main five plus Vero Beach. We hope to get in at Hilton Head for some days in March/April '09, and of course we'd love to stay at AKV to try them out - but probably for a trip where we aren't planning to go to the parks.

We always book the annual big trip at SSR our home resort, but are trying the others for the short trips. So far we like them all, but  SSR.

We've given just about all the resorts a try and prefer our home of Boardwalk. Having said that we will still stay at other resorts for variety.

Our home resort is SSR and we love it there. But I would like to try each DVC resort at least once. So far we've stayed at SSR, BWV, & OKW. My family didn't care for BWV (:confused3 ) but we all fell madly in love with OKW.

Other than HHI, we've only stayed at our home at BWV.

April 2007 - Hubby wanted our first trip "home" to be at "home".
January 2008 - Needed a std. studio / pref. BWV to OKW for studio stay.
March 2009 - Going with Epcot lovers who haven't stayed near Epcot.

I'm pretty sure our next trip after March 2009 will be at a different resort, and we may still change to BCV at 7 months, just for a change.

We are new members (just sent Fed Ex package back on Tues) and we bought because of our desire to stay at different places every trip! Since 2005 we have stayed at Poly, Pop, OKW, Pop, POFQ and our stay in August is at SSR. Next June we will be making our first trip home to AKV for 6 nights and then another DVC resort for another 5 nights. We can't wait to try out all the resorts (except for GF as we have no desire to stay there!)

We own at three resorts and I have finally figured out a rotation for us (will get there by 2010...)

Spring is AKV
October is BWV for F&W festial
December is VWL

We have yet to stay at WLV and BCV. We don’t own there and so when I usually book our trips I do it at the 11-month window. I have tried on several occasions to get into these resorts but have met with no luck for the entire trip. So the answer would be yes we try different resorts. We originally fell in love with OKW and didn’t think we would want to stay any place else. But we ventured out. And love it.

...I have been to WDW four times in my life. My son has been twice. When I was young with my family we stayed at Royal Plaza, then Polynesian. With my son we stayed at All-Star Sports, Vero Beach, then Polynesian. We are going back this spring and it will be Beach Club Villas. My home resort is SSR and I have yet to make it there. I figure I have 40 plus years to stay at my home resort. Variety is the spice of life.
